Ok, my computer is really messing up. I just recovered it, usually after I recover, it does just fine. But now, when I go to an icon website, the icons never move, I refreshed the page, and restarted the computer, icons are still not moving. On this website, or any other, every other word is turned into a link, when I click it, its just a none existing website, and I'm just not understanding any of this, does this mean I need a new computer? Or is it a program I'm installing? I have AIM and Jasc Animation Shop 3 installed, so, I'm not sure ifd these could be it, because I've never had a problem with them, thank you, I rate!
Reformatting isnt that big a deal unless you have data on their you really need in that case, make backups then proceed to reformat. [ shake's advice column | Ask shake A Question ]
BlairDotCom answered Thursday April 28 2005, 3:10 pm: That is what we call spyware. When the links are like that, thats bad. I used to have that and about 2 weeks later my comptuer went into melt-down mode.
REFORMAT don't do a system restore.

dwarp answered Wednesday April 27 2005, 7:03 am: They may not be related, because my computer doesn't that annoying linking thing, but the icons still move. I have both of those programs installed, but it didn't really start until I installed Jasc. So maybe that has some spyware on it. Problem is, I'm not sure if uninstalling it will take off the spyware, but it's worth a shot I guess! [ dwarp's advice column | Ask dwarp A Question ]
Asc answered Wednesday April 27 2005, 2:08 am: I'm confident that neither of those programs can/should cause this. It seems likely that part of the OS or browser is damaged.... The thing to do would be to make a complete reinstall, but unless you've got a way to back files up, that's probably not something you want to do.
It's possible that if you download a different browser, it won't be affected. If you're using internet explorer, I would recommend getting firefox. If you're using firefox, netscape 6-7, or mozilla, and internet explorer is also messing up, try getting netscape 4.7.
If none of that works, doing a complete reinstall may be the only solution. You could try recovering your computer again, but I don't know what that is or what it's supposeed to do. [ Asc's advice column | Ask Asc A Question ]
