can you get aim without being a member of AOL?how?

Yes. Go to AIM's website, www.aim.com and click 'For Your Computer' and click your type of computer. An alternative is going to www.download.com, and searching for AOL Instant Messenger; which is usually under the category, Most Popular.

Yes, you can get and use AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) without being an AOL member by going to [Link](Mouse over link to see full location), AIM's website, and downloading it to your computer. Just hover over "For Your Computer" and then click on Windows or whatever your computer is. From then, it's pretty simple to download AIM.
