How should i go about asking a gy i really like back out? It's been about 2 years since we went out.

If you haven't really been keeping in touch with him that much, I suggest that you try little things to make you closer and closer, especially with frequent hangouts and such.
If you're close to him and ready to go, try acting as if you already are going back out (minus the obvious makeout sessions) and hopefully he'll catch the vibe and his body language will show if he approves. While taking the plunge to ask the big question, first ask him how he feels about you; if he'd give you a second chance. Drop little lines about how you miss him, how he was the best you ever had, etc etc.
