OKAY so i was going out with this guy (we will call him joe)....I broke up with joe because i thought he was being a jerk. TURNS OUT he wasn't being a jerk. The only reason why I thought he was being a jerk is because my friend (we will call him max) Kept on telling me that he was being a jerk. and i belived max because he was my best friend.
Now me and joe are going back out..YAY... and i found out the real reason y i broke up with him. (because of what max was telling me) I don't know what to do about max.... should i not talk to him... or just forget it.. ((keep in mind its REALLY hard to talk to him about it.. cuz i have already tried))

First of all when Max told you that Joe was acting like a jerk, did you just take his word for it? Or did you talk it over with Joe?Which you should've done. I've had a relationship like this where I've heard rumors that weren't true, and rumors that were true. If you would talk it over with your bf about what you heard, you'll be able to tell if hes lying or telling the truth, just for for future reference. But, since its already done and you can't undo it, You need to tell Joe that you made a mistake and heard rumors that weren't true, you don't have to mention max, unless he asks who you heard them from. After that, you really really gotta try and talk to Max, ask him why he lied? If hes hard to talk to, just tell him plain and simple, if your my friend you'll tell me why you lied to me...Continue to be his friend, it seems like this guy could possibly like you. Think about it, a guy telling you, one of his girl-friends
that her bf is being a jerk, almost like he wanted you to break up???? And why would he want that? ;)
