Every woman's body is different, so you have nothing to worry about! If it makes you feel better, my mom had hers when she was 17.
As for knowing when you will get it is kinda tricky. Most women usually have pre-menstrual symptoms such as bloating, cramping, aching stomachs, and fatigue before they get their period. However, when I started I felt normal just like any other day so my only advice is to have a pad or tampon handy just in case.
As for the boobs comment, everyone blooms at different stages in their life. For example, I didn't fully develop until junior-senior year of high school. So don't worry.
NEVERLETG00 answered Wednesday February 23 2005, 12:30 am: dont worry too much about it, just ask your mom what age she got it, then if you have any older sisters ask them too. it could just be a family thing, my friend didn't get hers till she was 15, talk to your family [ NEVERLETG00's advice column | Ask NEVERLETG00 A Question ]
