emo is abounch of people who think they're cool by wearing preppy clothes and eye-liner. Really, it is just "punk" with tears. It is really stupid and degrading to those of us who are actually into punk things. If you truely dont like getting eye-liner in your eyes, you will deffinatly NOT become "emo". Thanks!

Emo is a type or music and label. It is also short for emotional.

EMO means EMOtional. For example, there is emo music and people and that means that they like to express their feelings a lot and they are emotional. Punk music is mostly EMO. Hope I helped :)
