Because if you like him like a brother, it might be difficult to carry on a romantic relationship with him. You can't make yourself think of him in a different light. You can sure try, though, and make yourself feel guilty about not returning his romantic feelings. Don't beat yourself up either way, though...whether you like him as a boyfriend or not. It's just the way it was meant to be, and probably is for the better. You don't want to string him along when you really aren't romantically attracted to him. And don't scrape a relationship based on the fact that kisses feel odd right now. If you two have been together a long time and are close, things will come naturally with time. [ MandyBB's advice column | Ask MandyBB A Question ]
