Well, there are a few ways to find out for sure.
)assume that he is(or isn't) by the way he acts
)get your friends to ask him
)take his friends word for it
)ask him yourself. This is the one that I suggest. I would use AIM personally, but it's your choice. If you don't have AIM, or he doesn't have AIM, and he or you doesn't have an e-mail address, then try writing him a letter. Just be like, "Hey, I have to be totally honest with you, and I am really curious. There are rumors and stuff flying around that say that you're gay. But I want to know for sure, not just be gullible enough to buy into anything that the crowd says." And hope for a reply. If you use AIM, then he wont be able to avoid it as easily, but if you can't use it, you can't use it. If you use e-mail or a letter, then you might not get a reply, but you know that you've tried. Then, of course, you can do a face-to-face, and then the only way that he can avoid you is by running away.. lol hope it goes well!!
