people say i am not fat because i am really popular so they cant be mean to a popular person and i know i am fat and i need to lose weight but i cant as much as i try then i try to exersise but i am so lazy and i try not to eat fating food but i have a little brother and he eats alot of junk food so we have a lot and my moms a baker so she makes the greatest stuff i can help but eat all up and when i am not hungry i still eat i dont know why and i need to loose a lot of weight. what should i do?
Sadly, weight is something I think girls struggle with their whole lives. Unless they are lucky enough to have one of those high metabolisms where they can eat EVERYTHING and not gain a pound.
Eating is great, and I would never recommend anyone stop eating food or making yourself sick. Your body definitely needs the vitamins from food.
My suggest to anyone is not to think about it as losing weight. Think of it as being healthy and a life choice.
I don't think to be pretty or popular that you have to be a size 0 or 1.
I also think most of it is mental. The more you tell yourself your not allowed to have something, the more you are going to want it.
It's okay to eat what your mom makes sometimes, but it's not healthy to eat junk food, and I'm sure she understands that.
Some people say, cut out junk food completely. I say, eat healthy. Especially veggies and fruits MOST of the time. And is you eat meat, fish and chicken is actually better then most red meats. But treat your self every once in a while. NOT ALL THE TIME!
Some of the things that people do with diets, like the ones you see on TV, where they send the meals to their house, work. Why? Because of the PORTIONS of the meals. The reason people gain weight right back after they stop? Because they don't portion their foods anymore and eat a ton of junk.
You can have those amazing baked goods your mom makes and eat, for the most part, what you'd like. But just don't eat so much of it.
If all you think about is not letting your self eat and how much you weigh, your mind is going to crave things and you "won't be able to help it."
My biggest thing is all about being healthy. Treat your body like a temple, diamond, or just something you really, really treasure. If working out is too much for you, try yoga. Yoga, I've been told, is one of THE BEST exercises you can do. It stretches every muscle in your body, makes you flexible, keeps you healthy, helps you mentally, AND can make you burn more calories than using those bike machines at a gym for an hour.
Over all, my opinion is, yoga. It would calm you and you'd never know all the good your doing to your body. As far as food goes, again, eat lost of vegetables and fruit. When you start to feel hungry, eat an apple or strawberry instead. =) Don't worry about hurting your moms feelings, I'm sure she'll understand. And when you are eating, eat smaller portions. You may not lose a whole ton of weight super fast, but if you change your life style and really take care of your self, you'd be amazed how the weight seems to disappear. And who knows? Maybe once you start losing the weight you'll have more energy to actually wana get out and go for a jog or to the gym? Good luck!
