I really need some help on this one...
Hey Nicole, this is Nicole again! I need some advice again. I've had this problem for almost 4 years, and I need help. I know you're a good columnist so I came to you. Okey, so I really love playing sports. My favorite sports are Volleyball, Football, Badminton, and Pool. I like basketball too, but the reason why its not my favorite sport is because I'm scared to play it. After school, everyone usually goes to the old school grounds and plays basketball. I love playing basketball, but whenever guys are playing bball with us, I get scared. I'm embarassed that everyone will make fun of me that I dont shoot well, I missed an easy shot, or I just do something stupid. Please help me get rid of this fear.

But yeah.. i've had the SAME EXACT PROBLEM as you! OK, here's what you do. Its not a very hard problem to fix. When you play bball and see guys playing, dont mind them. it's hard but it works. I mean -- who cares, really? They're just guys, and even if you make a mistake like shoot weird, usually those guys wouldn't notice b/c they're always so into their game. They most likely think that the girls are watching them compete against each other and are trying to show off. Start playing basketball but don't play alone, shoot some hoops with a couple of friends. It doenst even have to be a game, and have fun! If you concentrate so much on doing something stupid, most likely you will. keep your mind on something else. I hope you get rid of this fear like i did and good luck!
