Nope, it doesn't have to be popped! Once a girl has her first period and has sex, she can get pregnant! You hymen (cherry) is just layer of skin inside of you and it can be ripped by having sex, inserting a tampon wrong, riding a bike, sitting wrong, and by other ways! So you can get pregnant if your hymen has never been ripped before! Hope I helped :)

no it doesnt. your hymen (cherry) is just a piece of skin that rips. it can break (pop) by sex, tampon, bycicling, horseback riding, etc... you can hva sex for the first time and get prognant and it is possible that your hymen didnt break. i dont get the big problem with why people dont understand the whole popping the cherry thing.
i knew a girl who had sex with her bf for the first time and she got pregnant and she never knew that her cherry had never popped before. and shortly after she found out she was pregnant she had sex once with her bf and he popped her cherry. she thought it was a miscarriage but she got everything straightened out. and she wound up having a healthy little boy.
this just goes to show you that it can happen.
