Hey i was just wandering if I-Pod and windows media player are compatible becasue i have a ton of songs saved on Micorsoft windows media player and i was wandering if i can dowload those songs onto my I-POD

NO they arnt. ipod will convert all your windows songs into an ipod compatible form. Downlaod Itunes and use that because you need that for your ipod.

Media player doesnt matter.
If the file formats are mp3, then you can transfer them to your ipod, its that simple.

Well, they don't have to be AAC's to work on the ipod.

Itunes is the only thing that is really compatible w/ the ipod. The ipod plays AAC's, and MP3's downloaded by itunes, windows media is only WMA's, which will not work on ipods.
Well, there is a plugin you can download to convert the WMA's to MP3's. Or you can download Itunes, and im pretty sure it will do it for you.
