Hey, I've noticed that on some people's columns, they have parts of their text that's bolded, and I just wanted to know how to do that or what is the code for that. Thanks y'all. :)

You need to use this code: *b*TEXT*/b* only replace the *'s with < for the first one and > for the last one. So it would be: < then the b then > thenwhere it says TEXT put your text then do the <> again for the/b. Hope that wasn't too confusing! ]
Type *b* in front of the text. Then type */b* behind the text you want bolded. BUT you have to replace all the *'s with "<" for the fronts and ">" for the backs. Sorry I couldn't write it out, or it would make my text bold. Also if you want to do other things, use the same code, but do these letters:
i = <i>italics</i>
u = <u>underline</u>
s = <s>strike</s>
If it's too confusing just ask me.. :)
EDIT: I had to make it like the pinkys because I couldn't figure out a way to make it not show up..sorry pinky.
EDIT #2: This isn't showing up right..so, if this is way too confusing for you, just look at the other answers..ehh sorry :/ ]
