just leave me alone!

Question Posted Tuesday November 23 2004, 8:28 pm

14/f
I guess you could say I dress differently(im goth)
and everyone in school always makes fun of my style and my parents hate it. See I live in Short Hills(which you probably know of seeming your from NJ too) and everyone expects me to dress all ritzy like the rest of them but I like to stand out.I just want everyone to back off already! I mean should I just suck it up and start to blend with the crowd?
-Not so fashionable

You definitely shouldn't "blend with the crowd" who cared if everyone else doesnt like your style. You shouldnt dress to impress you should dress the way you feel most comfortable and like yourself. So just forget all those negative comments. And as for your parents, just tell them that this is how you express yourself and if you don't like it im sorry but you'll just have to live w. it!=P Hope I helped!
