Hey. I relly like this guy but he lives like an hour away and i hardly ever get to see him. Another problem would be i think he like this other girl. I never get to have good conversations with him and i havent gotten to know him very well. Do you have any conversation techniques?

Ask him a lot of questions about himself... when you talk to him, put the focus on him only. He will love that, trust me! Just ask him a lot of the basic questions that will tell you stuff about him, and from there you'll be able to have deeper conversations with him. Good luck!
