tell or dont tell?...like or dont like?

ok well some of my friends came up to me and were like i heard lets say jason was flirting with you..i knew it was true but i dont know if jason knows about it..in a way i want to tell him..but i dont want him to accidentaly tell the wrong person and it get out around who came up to me and said they heard about the flirting and them get mad..what do i do..should i tell him or just forget about it and see what happens? and if he was flirting do you think he ever might start to like me?
