real estate - not on title

Question Posted Friday October 22 2004, 5:24 am

Qualifide responses only PLEASE!

I have been living with my boyfriend for 6 yrs. We have a home which he bought in his name only while we were together. I am in the RE industry and helped him get 100% financing, so he had no orginal outlay. Since inception in 3/2000 we have shared ALL expenses 50/50. (MTG, Taxes, INS, Improvements, etc.) Because we do not plan to get married I want to CYA. But I do not want to put my name on title b/c I am looking to buy another inv. property and want to claim homestead exemption and get Owner Occ financing. What should I do to CYA? IE. Have him sign warranty deed giving me title rights but not record it?

Serious responses only! PLEASE!!

Well, to be honest, you seem to know more about this subject than anyone else would on this site, so I sugest you try googling this, ask a colegue [assuming RE = Real Estate] or speak to someone who is more famillier with the law regarding houseing, like a lawyer.

Sorry, But I don't think anyone on this site is going to be able to help you anymore that this.
