Dear Sista Jay, My boyfriend and i dont have condoms so we use socks instead. I know that socks are made of cotton and are thicker but for some reason we prefer them. Is there anything unsafe about using a sock instead of a condom?

Either homegirl be rockin a damn small sock or your boy toy has the most extreme case of elephantitis I have ever even contemplated about in my 15 (almost 16!) years of existance. But, in response to your question, you might as well be using nothing at all because there are holes in the threading of socks or any cloth, making your boy's man juice just as free to get wherever it's going. Whether you're trying to aviod getting knocked up or one or both of you have STD's, this probably isn't the best form of contraceptive ever thought-out. But, then again everyone has their fetish if you know what I mean. Just make sure his mom washing those things with some hardcore bleach. That's really all I can say.
