i have my period and i really need tampons but i dont know how to ask my stepmom that i need them! please help me i dont know what to do

Aww, sweetie...Just go up to her one day and say "hey [insert stepmom's name here, or "mom", if you prefer], um, this is kind of awkward for me to ask, but I kind of need...feminine products (lol you can insert whatever you wanna say there). Can you help me out?"
Or just ask her straight out: "I need tampons. Can you help me out/Can you get them for me?" I mean, she's a woman - I'm sure she had to ask her mom for them at some point. She'll probably understand if you're a little awkward about it.
