Depending on the chemicals found in the incense, and depending if you are prone to lung cancer, it very well could cause lung issues for you. Anytime you inhale something into your lungs other than just normal air, you run some level or risk. Generally, most people aren't bothered by incense. There are some incense that I've been exposed to that cause an asthmatic response - lots of coughing and whatnot. Generally, I avoid those, and I don't burn incense myself, because, well... it's smelly ;)
But you're probalby safe if you are burning incense - just make sure you keep your room ventilated, though. [ MFS's advice column | Ask MFS A Question ]
