Well, there's a difference between getting that person's attention, and actually getting them to like, talk to you in a friendly way (assuming that you guys aren't friends). To get someone's attention, you would have to do something completely out-of-the-ordinary. Like, dying your hair green or something. Butit doesn't seem like that's the kind of attention that you want from them, so I would suggest finding out some things that the person's into. If the person likes sports, find out what their favourite sport/team is, and maybe just watch a game or so. If they like music, try to find out what their favourite band is, and maybe listen to a few songs. Then, after you do that, you could just start talking to the person about that (now that you have a little bit more information on them), and that might lead to a friendship (if you're not already) and then, who know? Maybe a little bit more.
