What can I say?

Question Posted Wednesday August 11 2004, 9:34 am

Alright, I got hired at 2 different places, and I have to pick 1. I want to take job #2 because I have never done it before. If it doesn't work out, I want to be able to fall back on job #1. But what can I tell job #1 so that I can have a week or 2 to try job #2? I don't want them to know I have another job. Hope this makes sense lol. Thanks!

Additional info, added Wednesday August 11 2004, 10:04 am:
I am taking job #2. I need to know what I can tell job #1 JUST incase job #2 doesnt work out...something like "im going out of town"..but more believable ;).

Take the job that pays more. If they pay the same then pick the one that you think is the best.

Depending on what the job is, tell them you broke your foot. Or someone in your family died...yeah its wrong...but hey it could have happened years ago! They dont have to know when. Ummm...tell them you have another job and just put in your 2 weeks notice. Thats all I can come up w/ for now. goodluck

personally, i would go with the job that has moer pay. Pick the one you want to do the most, and if its number 2 then try i t out and if that doesnt work just go back to number one,
