XxRockon answered Saturday August 7 2004, 5:45 pm: Hey..What I think you should do is a 2 weeks or so before school starts, start running a little bit each day. Running a lil more after a few days. For example the first day run a half mile or so then the next day try to run the half mile faster then the next day try and improve that time. When you feel comfortable with running the half mile work on the mile. After you've gotten used to running the 400 and the mile will be pretty easy. If you don't have preseason at your school you might want to train a little longer but if you do, they'll prepare you for it too. I'm sure you'll do fine and good luck with field hockey :-) [ XxRockon's advice column | Ask XxRockon A Question ]
