i haven't had a b/f for a long time and i really want someone because my friends all get guys i know i'm not ugly or anything but i hate competing with other girls expecially ones that are prettier then me but when i go out to meet guys i always bring a friend because i get shy around them sometimes what should i do to boost my self confidence and my luck wiht guys

You seem like you need more confidence in youself. One day just go up to a guy and start talking to him. Or invite a guy on a date, you gotta make a move to get comfortable, the guys can't do all the work. And dont feel like you are "competing" with other girls. Because its not a game
