i don't know if were friends or going out

There's this boy who i've know in 6th and 7th grade but then he moved and went to another school, but we still talk on aol and aim. I don't really know if were friends or going out. Should i personally ask him on aim or what?

online there is so much contriversy..ask him to call you! or ask if you can call him, so then you can talk one on one:) then bring it up and if he says you two are just friends dont push anything. guys dont like it when girls try and push something to happen. but definitally ask him about it though:)
