I appoligize for my late response, I was on vacation. Now first of all, you need not worry at all. We all come in different shapes and sizes, and frankly, every girl's first few sex experiences are painful...the reason is that, even though your vagina might contract during your period, it is still unacustomed to having a penis inside. This pain in most situations will go away after one or a few times of putting it to use. And if it does not go away, you need to remember that sex is meant to be pleasurable, so you should tell your partner if you are not completely comfortable with it. One method you can do to help yourself become more "expandable" is to finger yourself (i.e. give yourself pleasure by inserting a finger, hand, or sanitary object and pump a bit), on a weekly basis. But ALWAYS make sure what goes in is very very clean so as not to inherit irritation or virus. This should be all the help you need, but for further advice about yourself, talk to your guinacologist. Remember, it is not your fault or his, and it is not a problem.
