Hair .. Today I'm going over to my friends house and I'm doing her hair for a dance. She always wants me to straighten her hair because I do it right lol.
Anyways, her hair is thick and wavy and it stays straight for about an hour or so.
My question: What tips can you give me so her hair can stay straight. I really don't have time to go out and buy products, so I need tips.
Thanks so much and I rate with feedback. :]

I went through some cosmetology school a few years ago and i liked using professional products called Kenra thermal styling spray with a curling iron or straightener to smooth or curl hair for long periods of time. You spray it on FIRST then curl or smooth with a straightener or curling iron and it stays very well(until it gets wet). Also, there is kits out there like at walgreens you can buy to permanently straighten your hair, or you can also do that at a hairsalon(its like a perm but without the curlers). Hope this helps!! ]
i have an expensive straightener with a steamer attatched to it. it's really nifty- but im guessing you dont have one. steaming the hair first locks the style in place, so i'd say to spritz her hair with a little water first, and dont hold the straightener too close to the hair the first time you run then straightener down it, then you can go ahead and finish the rest. once youre done, spray a paddle bruch with hairspray and brush her hair straight. hope i helped.

Try going really slow and let the straightner on really high and if you have any gel or hair spray that wouldnt hurt either
have fun ]
what i dod is a brush hairspray through and it works well for me. also you can have her gel her hair a little after she washes it/before you straighten it ]
my cousin is a hairstylist & she says that it completely depends on the straighter..like there really isn't any tips on how to straighten it. you should use a thin ceramic plate straightner. she has the type where its ceramic but it's water proof so your hair could be wet. she straightened my hair when it was wet (cause my hairs really curly) & it came out perfectly straight & even lasted over night & she did it at like 4pm. if you don't have those, then juss try going really slow & start from the bottom hairs, like the back and tye the rest up, & keep working your way to each section.
-hope that helped!♥ ]
