Big Dance There's a big formal that's coming up in the next couple of months. It's called the "Noel Ball." It's held in November, but you have to send in a reservation for it now, and then you have to send in who is going to be your "escort" by October 7.
I'm a sophomore, and the dance is for sophomore girls and their "escorts" My best friend is a senior. We've been through thick and thin, we're really close friends. So my question is,
Would it be weird to ask him? and how should I ask him? Because nothing would make me happier than him going to the dance with me, just as friends. But I don't know if he'd want to go, since he's a senior, or how to ask him.
help!

well if you are friends, it should be as akward. its probably better to go as friends. be sure to ask soon and tell him what you told us...it would make you really happy and its just as friends. cute! "hey i was wondering if you wanted to go to noel ball with me? just friends tho, if thats ok with you..." it could lead to other things lol. hope that helps && good luck! <3 ]
I don't see why he wouldn't want to go if you're good friends! It wouldn't be weird at all - lots of people bring dates to dances who aren't in the same year. I'm sure he'd love to go along for a good time. How could he pass that up?
Just mention that it's coming up, and see how he reacts. Then hint that you were thinking that maybe he would like to go with you. Don't force it or come on too strong at first. And emphasize it's just as friends! If he says no, be strong about it and don't be too disappointed. I'm sure he probably has a good reason - he's your best friend, right? :o) ]
Go for the gusto and say that he is one person you trust and know that he would be perfect for your escort for that dance. And if he says yes, yea for you! Good luck and have fun! You won't know what he'll say until you ask him! ]
