Cathloic Forces????
Okay hi its barb(ara) agian.I go 2 a cathcloic school n i dunt mean 2 sound like i dunt belive in god but i do.I mean still we are beliving in a ghost thats over 4000 years old.But it seems like GOd Is forcing us 2 belive in him n make him seem LIKE HE IS POWERFUL only HE is great.Its like yu nver write the word Bob in capitals just cuz he has a cool name.I mean y should god be all powerful n y should we honer him he seems like an electrain trying 2 burn out the light.I have nothing agaisnt god but what am i beling in?I have no clue about it.Our school forces us 2 be more cathcloic and it seems the more they do that the worse the kids become.Kids in 2nd grade at my cathcloic school is cursing.We r starting fights.It seems the more they take it away the more we do it.Y kant they just leave us alone????-Catholic and Unfaithful

I totally get what you mean, I am also catholic, and I use to go to a catholic school. They do like pushing God at you, but it's them not God. I had issues with religion a couple of years ago. It was like, Why are people making me believe this way? So I turned to Paganism, but that didn't work out either. So I decided to come up with my own beliefs, ones that came from my heart, ones that I believed were truly, from God. I am still catholic though, and I still believe in Jesus and Mary. But I don't take things the way I was always told to. I don't know for sure if God is male or female, I don't know if there if there is one God or one thousand. But I do know that God lives in my heart, and everyones hearts. I talk to God, and tell God what I want out of life and give God my own personal prayers. What I'm saying is, don't blame God for what your teachers are pushing on you. Don't blame God for what your parents are pushing on you. I can't show you God, but I can help you find God for yourself. It's always good to believe in something, no matter what it is. I think that you want to believe in something, and that somewhere inside you need to believe in something. God does still give miracles, or maybe it's fate, not miracles, but every day people all over the world catholic or not, experiece some form of a miracle. For a mother who was supposedly sterile, a baby would be a miracle. People recovering from fatal illness, thats a miracle. But I can't tell you what to believe or how to believe. Don't let the lack of faith in some people at your school bring you down. Maybe you could look at other religions at the library or on the computer. I think the goal of Catholic schools is try to teach students about their religion, the history of it, how to practice it, etc., more than to give you spirituality. So I would take advantage of just learning what they are trying to teach you.
They are also trying to keep the school environment structured, and trying to keep students from disrupting the class, or causing distress to the other students and teachers. They do this by having rules and discipline. Public school is probably a lot worse, not because they are telling students to be a certain religion, but because they have trouble enforcing discipline, and keeping the classroom calm and structured.
So school, teachers, and students are a completely different thing from believing in God. Your relationship with God is personal. If you want to, try praying for answers to your questions about God. Maybe you will find out more things, and that will help you feel better.

religion... its something that has been fought over and debated since the begining of time. i personally feel the same way u r feeling. whats the point? why r we being forced upon such things when we're supposed to be free? who the hell does this god guy think he is?? i mean i totally agree w/ u, god is supposed to be perfect and all powerful as well as forgiving... and yet if u doubt him u go to hell?! wtf is up w/ that?? i dont know honestly. and as closed minded as it sounds... seeing is believing in this case for me. if he isnt gonna prove himself then how am i supposed to know hes there. look at all the crap that has happened that he supposedly could've prevented and hasnt. if anything i think this god dude is one selfish arrogent motha fucka. and who's to say who is right about god. i mean u got the christians and the catholics and the mormons and all that so which religious group is the right one!? no one knows because as humans we're all egotistical maniacs who believe no matter what we must be right. so there is no way to tell. which is why im really almost to the point of atheism. except that even that is restricting. i dont want to be restricted by anything or anyone that i have proof of that is even there! there is no point! people say well if u live by gods rules ull be abetter person...BULL SHIT! sorry but i am a fine person and i dont believe in god as a person. i do believe there is some great force that made everything obviously but that it has any control over us and our minds and what happens to us... no.. bull shit... we screw ourselves over... we fix ourselves up.

Personally i am a christian so this may be a tough one for me to answer but still, no one at all can force you to believe something you dont. I admit sometimes i have questions but it helps to ask someone close your questions. I believe god is testing our faith with every moment to see who is true and who cracks from peer presure. Ask your parents about switching school. I cant force you to believe god but he is always there for me and i know hes there because, well... not because the bible or family or friends or priests but because i feel him in my pressence when i pray or im sad. I never feel alone because i know in my heart he is there for me. He always answeres my prayers even if the answer is no. I hope i helped you. I recomend you ask god for help and talk to someone close to you. In god i trust. If hes real, he deserves the praise.

why do people worry so much about religion? Religion are the rules made up by man to enforce on other people... who needs it?
I find it is religion that makes the whole "god" concept so undesireable, because we put these really ridiculous stipulations around it.
From the sound of it, you are confusing God with those who would abuse the name of God to control people.
I am Catholic. I am also catholic (yes, there's a difference).
Don't worry so much about the stupid crap that doesn't matter. Don't let people who have lost touch with what religion and spirituality are all about bring you down.

I feel the same way you feel a lot of the time, but I don't go to a catholic school. No one can force you to believe something that you don't want to believe. That's not how religion works. As you get older, your beliefs may change. For now, tell your parents that you feel like you are being forced to believe at your school. What they're doing almost seems like brainwashing.
