Here is some advice

Rules that I live by!

1. A day is wasted when you haven't laughed.

2. Wear sunscreen everyday! Believe me, now is the time to stop premature ageing!

3. Remember, treat others the way you would like to be treated. I think about this everytime I feel like bitching or gossiping about others.

4. And leading on from the last point, keep secrets. The fact that your friend trusts you enough to confide in you in the first place should be motive not to go telling anyone else!

5. Have Life Goals- and not just vague ones like lose wight or get rich. Some of mine include:

  • Learn how to surf- somewhere like Australia would be a nice place to start!
  • Lead a happy life! Who needs stress???
  • Learn how to play the drums
  • Build houses in Africa and visit orphanages in Russia. It really makes you appreciate what you have!
  • Be someone's role model
  • Get into college to do psychology

And don't forget to write them down and look at them from time to time! It has been proven that writing your goals down gets them done as opposed to being forgotten in the back of your mind!

6. Never get stuck in your comfort zone. Life is too short to pass up opportunities and instead opt for safe routine. Get out there! You never know what this crazy thing called life has in store for you!

7. Never give up (unless it's smoking or polar bear hunting) Almost nothing is achieved first time around...well nothing that is really worth achieving.

8. Always lok on the bright side of life. Not only do optimists live longer, have happier, more fulfilled lives, people are attracted to positive people so they are more popular!

9. Take crtitcism. You can learn even from the bitchiest girl you know. All you need to keep in mind is that you shouldn't let it get to you. Just use it to make yourself a better person (which everyone is trying to be) For example- someone says you're a slob...take a close look at your life, can you improve??? Maybe take up a sport instead of sitting in front of the TV all night. Maybe improve you're table manners. Whatever! Remember, all crticism can be constructive criticism!

10. And last but not least- Life is too short...so live it!!!

Hey everyone,
I was wondering what can I do to help reduce the fat on my inner thighs, and my stomach. I am 5'2, and I weigh 117 pounds. I want to lose 10 pounds, because the weight does not go well with my figure.

Help=[ (link)
OMG, I'm 5'2" as well- and 119lbs I have the same problem as you when it comes to the thigh and tum problem- I also have a bum problem too.

It seems whenever I gain weight it all goes there instantly! Very upestting

I'm plannig on losing a few pounds also- but unfortunately for me, sit ups and lunges aren't enough! I've started going jogging everyday and adopted a much healthier diet. I'm doing my lunges and sit ups too so when I lose the fat, it will reveal a toned body underneath!)

My motivation is this months run up to school- no one likes comming back to school in Sept after the summer being a fatty!

What are some exercises that can tone my abs, upper thighs, and butt? Also, what can I do to get rid of my love handles? (link)
I hear you dude- I have the exact same problem. Whenever I gain weight it goes straight to my tum, bum and thighs. And since I ain't the tallest person (158cm...eh 5'2" I think, sorry I don't do feet or lbs- I'm Iirsh) it does make my legs look like tree trunks.

For me unfortunately, no matter how many sit ups or lunges I do, it won't shift the fat. When your body burns fat, it burns fat from all over your body- not just what you are exercising!

So what I'm doing is all over exercises and trying just to lose weight all over and hoping it will include my tum bum thigh area! But keep doing the lunges and sit ups. When you do lose the fat, it will reveal toned body underneath!!!)

My goal is 10kg...sorry I don't know what that is in lbs!

what is an easy or quick way to lose a few pounds...like maybe 5-7lbs.. (link)
I'm trying to lose weight at the moment too and here are some things that are really helping me:

-Do a bit of exercise every morning before breakfast (YOU MUST EAT BREAKFAST!!!) I do 5-10 minutes skipping in my backyard! It speeds up your metabolism for the whole day so you burn all your calories quicker.

-Drink water. I bought a pink water flask which I keep with me all the time. I fill it up whenever its empty and I now drink water out of habit. It's great because it keeps away hunger!

-High fibre, medium protein, low carb! I'm eating a lot of fibre and protein: Like All Bran for breakfast, Bean Salads, Eggs (boiled, scrambled, poached, omlettes) lots of fruit and veg (raw carrots are my snack of choice when I get a case of the munchies!) Lean chicken, A LOT OF FISH! And for desserts (because I have a serious sweet tooth problem) what I take is natural or vanilla yoghurt and baked fruit with a bit of honey!

-Really try and stay away from refined carbs- ie white bread, white pasta, white rice etc etc etc. This is what your body will use for energy instead of your body fat! Instead go for wholemeal choices (which I even find tastier myself)

-Eating hot foods like chilis and currys are really good for speeding up your metabolism.

-Go jogging! I know it seems like a pain in the ass but recently I started up jogging- just around my park and it is making such a difference- I really should have started it earlier. I just put my iPod on at full blast and I couild jog for hours!

-Get involved in a sport. I know it's hard in summer with no school sport so kinda harder to get motivated. In Sept I'll be rejoining my hockey team and with training at least 4 times a week, I'm sure pounds wil drop off. So maybe you could join a team too. Dancing I find is great also- at the disco, in the bedroom, wherever!

-Everytime you have a shower, spend a minute or two...or three... under the really cold setting. Your body will burn calories trying to get yourself warmer again. Also its great for your hair and skin!

-While watching TV, I sometimes do sit ups or lunges or star jumps or whatever...anything is better than staying still for a long time

-Take your time eating food. Put down your knife and fork between bites and chew your food, tasting all the flavours on your tongue and feeling how full you are. It takes around 20 minutes after starting eating your dinner for your stomach to tell your brain that you are full and to stop eating. So slow it down and ENJOY the food you have in front of you!

Sorry, my answer is a bit long and congrats if you've bothered even reading down this far. Hope it all helps!!!
