you can use febreeze but if you didn't have that then you can take a sponge and put dishwashing soap on it and scrub it in then it will smell nice

well you can secretly get enough money to buy one yourself and then suprise them when you get one, or you can ask people who have a pet how wonderful it is then tell your parents and if your parents just keep saying no just show them how cute, adorable, and cool they realy are and then they will want to get one!

Well if you don't love him that much then just get rid of him but if you do love him then just try to make him understand that they are your friends, and that you like them for who they are and how they act so if he gets red or mad just soften your voise and tell him you love him, and he should say that he understands or OK!
