Geez, it makes you wish you could put yourself up for adoption eh? I'd call social services in your State and tel them the problem. Find out if you can be placed in foster care or legally moved to a relative's home. Living with that kind of stress is going to lead you down a path of bad self-esteem problems. Keep your chin up and KNOW that you're a good person, despite how your Dad treats you. Just be yourself, and keep clear of him as much as possible, try not to make waves. Easier said than done, but you CAN do it. Do your best in school, keep away from damaging habits, prove to the world that you can overcome his treatment, that you deserve to be treated with respect. Best of luck!

You COULD tell your parents that the sex ed teacher handed them out. I'm not condoning lying to your parents. It would be nice if we lived in a world where you could say "The condom in my purse is from "boyfriend", just in case our relationship gets to the point that we're ready to become intimate"... but if your mom is anything like mine was... I'd go with something that would save my butt from grouding or worse.
Good Luck.

my eyeliner is so annoying...it comes off after about 10 minutes, and it always makes a big clumpy thing in the corner of me eye...is there any way to stop it from doing this? (link)

I had the same problem. I saved up my money and went and had permanent cosmetics done for my eyeliner. Best investment I've ever made! Saves a bundle in makeup and stays on always!

You have probably heard people say... "It'll get easier with time"... and they're right. It's difficult to believe, but the pain subsides a bit and you can move on. I've lost a lot of people in my life... and you just have to honor their memory by living your life to the fullest, and doing your best to be the person they'd be proud of. Hope you feel better soon! There are people out there who will understand and be there for you to talk and to listen!

do you think it'll be hard to babysit 2 kids(grl-3)(the boy-6)on the first time ever havin to babysit? (link)
|
The most important thing I would want in a babysitter is to have my babysitter actually spend time playing with the kids. If the babysitter is busy on the telephone with her friends, watching t.v., or raiding my cupboards, she's not going to be the babysitter my kids would want to have over again. Find some kid appropriate games and actually get on their level with them. Be in charge, but also be their buddy. I think you'll do a great job, and hav fun!

I work at an arcade. I was your basic level grunt for a while: Did all the cleaning and such. Then I started getting more into repairs. Then my boss started to trust me with bigger responsibilities. I always carry two important keys with me on the same keychain with my keys for my car, home, etc: The key to the building, and the key to all the machines. I know the passcode to the security system, and have full access to the register, change machine, basically anything to do with money. I know exactly how much money the business makes, how much goes towards expenses, and how much each individual machine makes. I am trusted to run the place myself on several days of the week. That, my friend, is a LOT of trust that has been placed into me.
I started working there in Summer of 2003, so it's been about a year and a half by now. My starting pay was $6 an hour, and I was paid in cash right after the work day. If I worked for 4 hours, I'd take $24 out of the register and go home. No taxes to deal with or anything. Nice huh? But now I have been promoted to Assistant Manager. Now I am an offical employee. I will be paid on Mondays with a check, taxes taken out. The thing is, I'm going to get a raise, but I am to decide what it should be. Help me out.
Take these factors: I have worked there for a year and a half for the same pay, taxes are now being taken out, and I have to do so much more work than I used to. My pay has to be about $6.50 or $6.75 just to receive the same pay, because of taxes now. So what should I ask for? I hate to have made this so long, but there are a lot of factors at work here. I'd ask for $6.50 an hour or $7.00/hour salary, with option for review once a year.
