I'm sorry if this is kind of long, but I have something on my mind that is REALLY bothering me, and I really need help on it ASAP! I rate high, so PLEASE help me.

Ever since eighth grade, my mom has been impossible at times. I remember the summer that I was going into eighth grade. It was the first time that I ever really started to communicate with guys because i go to an all girls school. so, i was about twelve or thirteen when I first started meeting guys, going to parties, and all that stuff. well, i really really liked this guy named JC. I was like in love with him. And he liked me too. But, my mother was so overprotective, that that whenever I was talking to him, she would sit next to me on AIM and told me everything I had to tell him. And she would sit next to me while I was on the phone and she had to hear everything that was going on. She never let me tell him that I liked him. And guess what? the boy lost interest and to this day I cry myself to sleep because that was my first love and my mother never let me even talk to him. Therefore, him and his best friend say that I talk like an old lady all thanks to her.

Time passed by and my heart was healed my new love, Rafael. Rafael healed me and I healed him. He has been like a blessing to me. I love him so much. but, now i am in high school. my mother should be giving me more priveledges and space and privacy. But, she sits by me even when I talk to Rafael. So, Rafael sends me a music video and he told me just to listen to the words of the song. So, I did. and the words were very sweet. But, the video had some material in it that my mother did not like. It had like contrivercial things in our society. and it wasnt evey like sex or anything like that. It was like weird people. so, anyways, she took it very personally and made me tell Rafael that I did not want to have anything to do with that. And now, when I told her that she should let me make my own decisions and that I want to be with Rafael and she should just let me do what I want, she says that I am crazy and that I have no dignity and self respect. I told Rafael that I didn't like the video and he said that he was sorry for it, but my mom is so overprotective of me!

And another thing that she does is that whenever I tell her something, she always has to tell like the entire world. She tells my grandmother, my aunt, and she even tells the hairdresser! and then she tells me not to tell my best friend since like 8 years anything about whatever.

I've already tried talking to her and it doesn't work. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!!! TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!!! PLEASEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! I'VE ALREADY TRIED TALKING TO HER! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

An over procted mother. Hmm. Okay talking to her was my frist reaction to this. It's one of the only things that you really can do. Listen, i kno you tryed talkin to her but i think that if you sat down with her one on one, face to face that she has to listen to what you say. Be very mature about it, take clamly &nd not yelling. Be like "Mom, im __ years old &nd in high school. I'm really mature for my age unlike some people. I need you to trust me like i trust you. I'm not going to run off &nd have sex with everyone or anyone, I'm not ready for that. I'm growing up &nd i really like this guy. Mom i really do love you &nd i love your advise but i think that it is really ouckward to share my personal love life with my own mother like 24/7. I'm just asking you to lay off it it a little. I will &nd always come to you when im in need &nd im really asking for this." thats the best that i can really think of. Unless you bring over Rafeal to your house to have dinner or lunch or something so you can show your mom what you are asking of her &nd that she can trust you. i hope i helped in any kind of way. &nd good luck &nd tell me how it goes!

well, i wasnt sure wat to put this category under but w/e. it kind of does have to do with sports. the thing is, that my friends row. my best friend and these two guys i noe go to rowing. and i go to an all girls school so its really fun for me to do those things after school because i get to hang out with people i know outside of school on more days other than the weekend. but the thing is, that i also do ballet. i do ballet for two hours a day on monday's and wednesday's. but, people think thats like weak kind of. u noe, they think that because i dont do sports like the ones their doing, that im not really strong. but, for ballet, u have to be really strong. its not easy. you have to have a lot of strength, especially in your legs and in your calves. so, anyways, today this girl thats one of my best friends asked us (people at school) to go to rowing with her one day. and she seemed like she really really wanted us to go. so i told her that i would go with her and she told me that she didnt think i had the arm strength to do it. i was like EXCUSEMY! why does everybody think that i'm so weak. IM NOT! im actually really strong. im 4"11 and 14 years old, but im REALLy strong for such a little person. what should i do? how could i show everyone that im not a wimp? the thing is, that my mom has always wanted me to do "girly sports" which pretty much means like cross country, soccor, ballet (dancing is a sport!) and i go to the gym. i mean, like, i hav a busy scheduale. but, i really want to show everybody that i can row also! any ideas? just to show prove people wrong about body strength!

well go fer rowing! tell her that she needs to stop talkin &nd row. i give credit fer yew doin ballet. i cant do it but nebody that can is awesome. show her that yew can really do it. &nd ask her why she doesnt think yew can? talk it owt er row it owt! go have like a race between yew &nd her er nebody &nd show that yew do have the upper body strength to do it. hope i helped! &nd good luck :]

Ok i started talking to this one guy on aim and we talk about all kinds of stuff and he's really sweet and he goes to a school in my district and well we've met before and he's known me for along time but i never knew him until about a week ago and i really like him but my ex boyfriend told me that he was on drugs real bad and that he gets drunk every weekend and well a bunch of other people have told me that but i still like him...and he told my friend that he thinks im hott and that he would like to talk to me so when i asked him about it he said he did like me and he did think i was hot but he had to find out what was going on with this other girl before we could start talking...do you think he really does like me or is he making and excuse up and making that up about that other girl? If he decides that he does want to start talking should i sense he gets drunk and is on drugs? What should i do?

Just had this talk with one of my friends that is going threw the same thing yew are. Talk to him about this other girl. Face- to -Face. ask him if it is just a girl like yew, er an ex, er what. get to the bottom of that. then after point out &nd ask him if he really does drink & do drugs. &nd if he does. unless yew want to deal with a guy like that then thats fine but, dont try to change him. guys dont change unless they want to them selfs. hopefully he isnt the way that yer ex said he is &nd hope i helped yew owt. :]

i have quite a chubby stomach and i have been doing about 60 crunches each night and i havent seen much results.. i know in a few weeks i might but i dont want to waste my time doing crunches and find out it didnt work.. so anyone that had experience.. does crunches really work?

okay
1. crunches are good at night but:
- they dont do all the work to get that flat stomach
2. start to exercise
- hit the local gym
or
- do lots of things that are endurance
3. think healthy food
- watch what yew eat. no sugars.
4. do a sport
- sports always keep yew going &nd in shape

I am a shy teen girl in high school and I recently meet a guy and I felt an instant connection, but I'm not sure if he did. It seems like he likes me but I'm not sure. He has asked me about my interests and I've caught him looking my way in the corner of my eye more than a couple of times, it seems like he kind of does that to everyone else though. I just don't want to be shut down. Should I make a move and also how so?

i dont kno how to tell this guy i like him. we both kno that in the past we liked eachother(never actually went out)i jus found out that he liked me again last (school) year...everyone thinks i should tell him even though he moved like 3 states over...what should i do and how should i tell him?????help i rate high!

tell this guy how yew feel towards him. also ask him just to make sure that he does like yew. Since he lives a couple of states over i think the best way that you could tell him is over the phone. unless you get guys together. IM isnt always the best way to tell people how you feel &nd there is tons of reasons why. hope i helped. :]

ok, I have a situation here. i like this guy and we're pretty good friends, but i'm not sure if he likes me back. today my friends were talking and my suspicion of one of my friends from a nearby school was revealed. i thought that she(from the nearby school) liked him and my friends started talking about how they think that he likes her. i feel like i waste my time on guys.allready one guy that i've liked this year has liked one of my best friends. i really don't want it to happen again, but i hate putting of guys because im jealous. *remember* im not sure that either of the two like each other, but it's a suspicous situation. how should i handle this?

Hey, i had a slimier situation. how i handled it was talking to my friends about what the real deal is &nd ask the girl from the nearby school if she likes the guy. Also ask the guy his feelings toward you &nd the other girl. You know so that things are clear &nd there is no confussion.
