Sorry if its long.

So, I'm 15/f and a sophmore in highschool and there's this class I just HATE to death. I think I would actually prefer to die a million times in the most painful way rather than have to take it. The teacher hates me, and I'm the only one she picks on, the course is SO difficult, and the room is just full of bitches with nothing better to do than look at me all period and gossip.

It's all really overwhelming. So much, I got a panic attack today before I went in it, but I hid it the best I could. I also can't stop thinking about how monday will go. The dean at my school told me there's a big chance I might have to stay there, but I dont think i have the strength or will power, and I feel like doing something really stupid.

I know there's not really much anyone can do, or say, but I'm just the weakest person right now, and I dont know how to handle the situation. It's just eating me up inside. I need something just to keep me going. I'll take any kind of advice. ThanX in advance.

Is the class a requirement to graduate? If so, you will likely still have to take it at some point, even if you do get out of it at this semester.

One of the first things you probably should do is figure out why you have such a hard time in the class.

If it's simply a conflict with the teacher, you should look into trying to transfer into the same class that's being taught by another teacher. If that's not an option (like they're the only teacher for that class), then you will need to sit down and figure out what you dont like about the teacher and why. You said that she picks on you in class, but why? Do you often not have your homework done or do you "zone out" during class and not pay attention? Perhaps talking with a school counselor about the issues with her could help.

As for the course beng difficult, is there a lower level of the same subject that you can take first, so you'd be more confident and this class wouldnt be as hard? What about a tutoring or student help program? Try finding a friend who has taken the class before or is good in the subject to study with and help you.

As for the people in your class, my guess is that they arent staring at you all the time--you're simply uncomfortable in the situation, so it seems like they are. If they truly are staring at you and talking about you, you have a couple options--you can either shrug it off and ignore it or you can confront them about it. If you do choose to confront them, try to do it in a non-hostile way, or you'll likely make the situation worse.

I wish you the best of luck, and know that you arent a weak person for having trouble in a class--you're simply a normal person who, just like everyone else, has things they are good at and things that they struggle with.

Okay, so I have this big audition (SRO) coming up this Saturday (wish me luck!) and in there we have to play the excerpts, scales, and sight read. For the scales, I have to know major and melodic minor scales up to 4 sharps and flats by memory and I got that down. The problem is this:

I know the melodic minors by the wrong name. Like I can do A major than I'd memorize the minor by A minor, which is wrong. It's actually C minor I think. I know that sounds confusing. But I need to know how I can momrize the minor to the major scales...like which minor goes with which major scales? Is that confusing? I just need to know how many sharps and flats each minor scales have because I'm going to forget and do the wrong minor scale at the audition. I'm thinking of making flashcards...would that work?

Thanks in advance

Rather than just trying to memorize them all, it might be easier to just know the relationship between them, so you can always figure any one out. The major key that corresponds with a minor key is 1.5 steps higher. For example, A minor has the same key signature as C major.

When they tell you to play, say, F# minor, all you have to do is count up 1.5 steps (or 3 half steps, if that's easier for you to think about).

So...F# to G (step 1) to G# (step 2) to A (step 3) --> F# minor is A major.

I hope that helps and good luck on your audition!

I'm a plus sized girl, and I'm fine with that but finding clothes is hard for me. I was wondering if anybody could tell me some cool sites or stores, besides Torrid or Lane Bryant, that sell plus sized clothes. I have no price preferance.

It's nice to hear from someone happy with their size. Most larger department stores have Plus or Woman's size section, such as JCPenny's and Sears. Also, if you dont mind buying things online, there are some very good options there, too. A couple are Silhouettes (http://www.silhouettes.com/) and Plus Woman (http://www.pluswoman.com/), and you can find a mixture of basically everything online if you do a search within Google's "Froogle". Good luck!

For the passed few months I haven't been eating much. The only thing I eat during the day is breakfast, usually poptarts. The rest of the day I'm not hungry AT ALL and no matter how hard I try to eat.. I just can't. I used to eat A LOT but now I hardly eat at all. What happened??? I'm kind of scared.

My first suggestion would be to schedule an appointment with your doctor. It could simply be your metabolism changing or something simple like that, but considering that you are only eating poptarts, that isnt the healthiest thing in the world for you.

One of the first things the doctor will do is probably a blood test. What other sort of symptoms have you been having? Do you have trouble sleeping? Are your periods regular? Are you gaining or loosing a lot of weight? Are you tired all of the time? Be sure to be able to answer those types of questions when you see the doc.
