ok..so i've been running track/cross country since i was 7. (i'm 16 now) and i also used to swim year round when i was 11-14 but i ended up quitting to focus more on running. but lately i have just gotten SO sick of running. its just like it lost something, ya know? it seems like i only do it because i have to and i dont really enjoy it like i used to. i also really miss swimming like a lot i loved it and i kinda want to keep swimming, but i know since i haven't swam in so long i wouldn't be very good. and i seriously don't know how to tell my parents i want to stop running thats like unheard of and all of my best friends are on track. i still have 2 more years of high school and i dont want to spend them doing something i dont enjoy, but i do want the letter in that sport to put on college applications. so i really dont know what to do! should i just keep running and stick it out until the end of high school? or start swimming again? (i can't do both) sorry its so long! (link)
okay. its two more years...it will be great on your college applications. You must be very good at this sport, stick to it-dont go back to swimming..stick it out. Believe in yourself, you can do it. You might not have passion for it anymore, but think of your future..all this work for 9 years for nothing if you quit. think of your future! good luck :)


hey! i'm on a healthier diet because i know i have been eating too much crap! i had a good dinner around 8 oclock and haven't ate anything since, since i know it's bad for you! and it's now around midnight, and my stomach hurts really bad! why does it hurt? (link)
honestly, diets are not good for you. If its your weight your worried about, just work out..guash, don't starve youself or go on a stupid diet, youll just end up doing a crash diet. The only advice i can tell you, is eat vegetables, and work out at least 20-30 min. a day. Eat cerial(not sugar), yogurt, and vegetables, or fruit, and a slice of meat for dinner, when your hungry -eat-, get a small snack, nothing heavy, no mc'ds!, lol..hope i helped


okay i've cheered 2 seasons already, but i was wondering how to get my jumps higher & better for this season(starts in 2 weeks)..and if any cheerleaders on here have any tips for doing better on anything else?..mainly i need to know how to better my jumps and higher them (link)
STRETCH! that is the key..if you dont stretch you will never higher or better your jumps, practice, the more you practice and stretch, lol, the better you will do, good luck :)


13/f Ive played basketball for 5 yaers but this is diffrent i realy wanna make the JV squad and lets just say since last season ended in March ive done alot if couch sitting and junk food eating...what can i do to get back in to shape...tryouts are November 4th (link)
okay. You probably have favorite shows..(every hour of the day) lol, but really. Everyday, practice at least for an hour. If you really want to make jv then i suggest you set up ur own workout for everyday. Practice. If your watching sum tv, every commercial, get up and do some jumping jacks, trust me it will work. good luck ;)


I am a sophomore in high school. I have been playing volleyball since I was in 5th grade. I have played on my school team and a travel team for the past 3 years. I've also had asthma since I was 3 years old. Having asthma makes it very hard to do most of the stuff we have to do. This year, we have a new and very hard coach named Beth Ann. She expects us to be Olympic athletes. If we make one bad pass, she makes us do like 3 suicides. I can't handle that. The first day, I puked twice. Plus, the coach underestimates me. The back row passers can't make a decent pass, and I'm a middle hitter, and i make more decent passes. She doesn't tell us how to fix our mistakes, she just makes us run. We run more than play the game. I can't handle it anymore. I've just lost interest in the game.

This is the tricky part. My dad is big on watching me play volleyball. I don't want to quit, but I really think I should. My sister quit her sophomore year also. How can I break it to my dad nicely that I don't want to play anymore? I don't want to piss him off. Asthmatics shouldn't even be playing sports. Ya konw? wow, this is tricky, im going through the same thing, its very hard for parents to see you do great in something and then see their child quit.I quit gymnastics for a year, but now im going back. You have asthma. If your dad doesn't understand enough that your hurting, then he has a problem, he should love his child more then the sport. Sit him down, talk to him, tell him you feel sick when you go to practice..he should understand. but, just because your quiting that team, doesn't mean you have to stop playing the game. keep doing what your doing, try finding another team, that plays for fun..thats the best i can do, good luck

Im a dancer myself, dance is a very hard "sport". If your just okay in dance, then i suggest you dont tryout at all. In order to succeed you need to at least "think" your a good dancer or believe in yourself. Try harder, i bet your not just -okay-..all of those dancers who appear to be talented and advanced, are just advanced because they try hard and have passion for what they do. So just prepare by practicing and dont think about the other dancers, your just as good if you believe in yourself, promise..good luck! :)


Okay. Me and this kid went out for 5 months. He broke up with me a month ago cuz it was summer and we never really got to see each other. We still talk on the phone a lot, talk on-line, go to the movies, hang out all the time. I still really like him, and he still likes me. We talk about going out all the time because school starts in a week. Should I be the one asking him back out? Or should I wait for him. I tried moving on, but Idk. There's something about him that just drags me back to him. He's the easiest person to talk to. But I really don't know what to do. Should I try moving on, or should I stay with him.
