im a skinny girl.

5'1 110 pounds.

however recently i just stoppoed watching my weight and have been eating really badly. like really bad.

now its spring break and im home. i dont need to be in a bikini or anything tight since im with my family (uuucchhhh!!! i no!!!)

during the holidy (passover) my fmaily makes the most unbelievably good food!!!! fatttteeeniingg everything.

im not sure if i should continue letting go and just eat all the crap food that my aunt makes. and then after the holidays start a diet.

or if i should stop eating like a pig now and diet.
just the temptatioon of my familys food will kill me.

what should i do?

im really starting to get fat... i feel it and see it and i hate it. (link)
Technically it's not a diet. You just need to go back to eating well as opposed to poorly. Don't continue letting go until after the holidays because the longer it lasts... the harder it is to back on track. Get back to your old ways of eating as soon as possible or you'll likely wind up regretting it.

That of course doesn't mean that you can't eat the delicious crap food just don't eat too much of it. No matter how good it tastes.

I say this from personal experience. I thought for the weekend of my birthday I wouldn't pay as much attention to what I ate for once... I paid for that one with ten extra pounds in one weekend. Seriously, don't wait.

I am seventeen and people always think that I am a couple-few years younger. It used to not bother me, but now it does and I want to change. I am 5'6", tan, brunette, and I wear enough makeup without overdoing it. I dress my age, and sometimes older (not revealing, sometimes conservative.) Are there any make up tips or anything I can change to make myself appeal my age and maybe a little older? (link)
Unfortunately there isn't really anything you can do. Some people just look younger. Try seeing it as a good thing because it really is. Who cares if people think you're younger? Eventually, you'll want to look younger. I'm sorry but there's not much you can do to look older.

I don't want to go to school tomorrow, because, of personal reasons. So, I'm going to try & make my self throw up - any tips??

haha, don't even start with calling me stupid, because with the situation I'm in, I CAN'T go to school. Thanks a lot [♥] (link)
Don't make yourself throw up. That's really bad for you. I agree about the nose and eyes rubbing thing and you just have to act like your sick or feel as if your going to throw up. Don't actually do that though you might end up making yourself actually sick.

Dear Advicenators,
My son is 25. He has a BS degree in electrical engineering and a decent job. He has some student loans he is in the process of repaying. As caring parents we told him he could stay at home after graduation to get a heads up on paying extra on his loans and we would not charge rent or anything like that. It has been one year now and I am finding it stressful that he is home. He is very unappreciative of anything I do for him. He is also rude to us and disrespects our rules and wishes in our own home. Needless to say, he isn't paying any extra on his loans and I have to constantly remind him to pay them on time. He has lived on his own at college and I feel like it's time for him to be back out on his own but how do I really know when it's time to tell him to leave? Signed a concerned mother (link)
He's unappreciative? In my opinion it's time for him to leave. If he handled living on his own during college he should be fine. There is no excuse for him being rude to you when you are trying to help him. He is an adult now and has no right to treat you like that.

All of my life my mom had told me to take HOT showers to help get all of the dirt and germs off of me. I always try to take the hottest showers possible. Well, recently, I passed out (I sometimes do) in the shower and my boyfriend said it was because the water was way too hot to be in and that I should be taking warm-to-cool showers even. Who is right? (link)
Your mom isn't exactly wrong but the temperature of a person's shower depends on how it feels to them. Never take a shower that's too hot. A warm shower that's maybe a little on the hot side is much better for you than one that is too hot. Oh, and I've heard it's good for your hair if you rinse it in cold water. Don't know if it's true though because the one time I tried it the water was uncomfortable on my scalp. Anyways, definitely turn down the heat.

How can I find out the calories and other nutrition facts from McDonald's? My friends have been eating there recently and I'd like to go out with them but I don't want to eat too many calories for just a burger or something. I guess I'm most interested in the calories of the McRib versus something like the McDouble or the McChicken. Anyway, I heard a LONG time ago that McDonald's had their nutritional facts available for people to look at somewhere. Where would I find them? Are they online or at the stores?
Oh, and calories for a small shamrock flavored shake, too, because those are my favorite! (link)
Yes, it is online. I didn't see the shamrock shake on the list though.

What is the best kind of conditioner to use for dry, damaged hair? My hair is thin and straight but the ends of my hair are really, really dry and damaged from years of not really taking care of it like I should have. I've been getting it cut off slowly bit-by-bit (I like long hair) but I want to start using a really GOOD conditioner to help it along. I've been hearing about so many bad chemical things they put in conditioners so now I don't know what to look for to help it repair and heal. Suggestions? (link)
I can sympathize because I happen to have extremely dry hair that needs a lot of moisture. I use whatever my hair salon person (what are they called again?) gives me on that particular visit. My favorite that generally gives me the best results is Nexxus Phyto Organics Humectin Extreme Moisture Conditioner.

Found here:

EDIT: I forgot to mention that you should use multiple conditioners. As in switch at least everytime you use up a bottle. Your hair can build up an immunity to a certain type of conditioner which is why I don't get the same one all the time.

just moved into a new house and the water here is absolutely terrible. It comes out looking yellow even! It's scary because it's SO hard to get things clean and white again. A problem I am having is the toilet in the upstairs bathroom though. It is stained from the minerals in the hard water we have. I have tried a lot of the regular toilet bowl cleaners (the Lysol and Clorox brands) but they don't really get those stains out! It's embarrassing because it LOOKS like it's never been cleaned. Does anybody know how to get these toilet bowl stains out without having to replace the darn thing (because it's just going to have that build-up again and again)? (link)
I've never had a problem with this before but I did some research on google and a lot of people say a dollar store brand called The Works will get rid of it.

You can find information on it here:

My friend has kissed a 15,17,and 19 year old boys.I am mad but I don't want to lose her. What do I do.She is 11. (link)
She's eleven... and was kissing 17 and 19 year olds. That's just sad. Express your concerns to her about all of it but honestly that's all you can do. If only we could control our friends, but sadly we can't. Do talk to her though because there's always a chance that she will listen.

can someone explain to me the difference of like a couple that is only going on dates and not together and one that is going out as in boyfriend girlfriend? i dont understand it, help? (link)
My understanding of it is that the labels boyfriend/girlfriend make a couple exclusive. They don't date other people, just each other and they're commited. People who aren't together but are going out while they may not being seeing other people still have the room to do it because they're realtionship isn't commited.

I am a 13 year old girl and my friend and I are having some problems. She tries to influence me to do things that are really bad, things that I told her that I did not want to do. Though when
I told her I had a problem, she just went on talking about things like what I had said did not even matter. Then I said, are you going to forget what I just said? she says I am so so so sorry!Even though she did apologize I have this strong feeling that she is just saying it to make me happy and is not acting like a "Best Friend" at all. What should I say to her? (link)
I hate to say this but she's likely not going to be your friend in a few years. That's not friend beahvior at all and if it continues the two of you will inevitably grow apart. It just happens. If there is to be any chance of salvaging this falling friendship you have to tell her exactly how you feel about all of this. That you don't want to do the things she's trying to influence you to do, you're sick of her not listening to you when you talk, and when she apologizes you would like her to actually sound like she means it. If she doesn't improve then it's time to drop this. You can and will find much better friends.

i have always had trouble with self esteem. and i know that i do have pretty qualities but i have trouble embracing them. how can i make myself feel pretty and stop picking away at all my flaws?

thanks:) (link)
I dealt with the same thing for a long time and unfortunately it's a tricky thing to get advice about because loving who you are is something that each person really has to arrive at on their own. I know my problem in trying to accept myself was that I was trying to ignore what is flawed and embrace was is beautiful when I really should have been embracing what was not. Self esteem cannot be built out of accepting what is lovely but enjoying what is unique. If you can somehow find the ability to pick out your flaws and love that they're there (because they are what makes you different) and realize that each flaw is beautiful in it's own way your self esteem will rise. Like I said though, no one can tell you haw to accept yourself. They can't advise you to think better of your beauty. It's a lesson you have to learn on your own but if I hope that maybe I help some? Good luck.

if you had sex and didnt use a comdom and you was on your period can you still get preg
(link)
Yes. My understanding of it is that because the sperm survives for several days. Since an egg is released at the end of your period the sperm could pontentially be alive at that point and get you pregnant. There is never a time when you can't get pregnant.
