My computer is out of it's mind! I know nothing about computers, but it's a dell. About a week ago, out of NOWHERE, it decided it would stop working. It turns on normally, but then goes to a black page where it says "we apologize for the inconvenience, but windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this..etc.." It either freezes on that page, or shuts itself down, then restarts, and does the same thing over and over and OVER. It's driving me insane. What have I done to it? What could be the problem??

About 4 days ago my computer started acting funny. I turned it on and started getting weird pop ups saying that somene was trying to attack my computer or something and infect it with.... a virus or something. Some pop ups say that Windows blocked the virus and some say that I have the virus and have to remove it. The weird thing is I think these pop ups are PART of the virus. It says... Virus Name: Worm.Win32.NetBooster2 Path: C:/Windos/system32/qappsrv.exe
i couldn't find the path in my computer so i think the pop pup has that path name to make itself sem believable because i do have a system32 folder.
Anyway... I'm not sure how we got the virus. We don't go to dirty websites... We have an anti virus or scanner or... well I am not sure what it is. It scans and is supposed to remove threats but it is very crappy. I think it's a pirated version of an anti scanner. it doesn't work well but I know it's not the CAUSE of the virus because we've had it for some time. At first it detected the virus but not anymore :-(
Anyway, I don't care how we got it. I just want to get rid of it already because I can't even use the computer. It makes my homepage a.... virus isolator page and keeps sending me op ups, even when I'm offline!
My friend said it was a bug cause he had one too and that he fixed it by finding the bug and stopping it,. I couldn't find it. And I tried going to the "task manager" but it is disabled and no way to enable it...
I was wondering, has anyone ever had this virus/bug or know anything about it? if yes, how did you get rid of it?
does anyone know of a free anti virus or virus scna i can load or anyway to get rid of this bug???

Try to download AVG 7.5 and spybot S&D run a scan and it should get it and destroy it immunize and update your computer with spybot S&D update regulary AVG will automaticaly update

My computers been completly infected with spyware and it automatically downloaded this virus thing, and now I can hardly even turn my laptop on, as popups and everything come on automatically.

Ok first you need to download Spybot S&d

and run it and update it and run the scan and get rid of all of the junk ok that should take care of that stuff now next install AVG antivirus this software scans every file that you put on your computer it has an automatic update so that is good here is the site you download it from

that will act as a second barrier on Spybot make sure you immunize every week and update it and check the button that says hide all dangerous pages silently

How many MB makes a GB or the other way around? So confused..
The answer is 1024 but many factories consider it as 1000 MB cause it is easier so yea that is the answer. That site is to show proof hope it helped.

i have netscape 8.1, and lately its been freezing up a lot. the whole web browser goes white, and then i have to drop it down and wait a while, then bring it back up and it works again, but its extremely annoying. is there something wrong with 8.1? or is there something i can do to fix it? because i know its not my computer, because i can do other stuff on my computer when netscape freezes. thanks!
Well netscape 8.1 is probably a big task and It probably does take awhile and yea it is a big file it's 18.31 MB and Firefox is 4.5 so yea its a big difference so I suggest you switch to firfox or internet 7.0 which they say is kinda slow but its a lot safer so you can download Firefox if you want. AVG Grisoft does a really good job it might take long but it works and it is free it updates automatically hope this helps. oh and download Spybot S@D that really helps too well I hope all this helps.

How can I fix internet explorer error message page cannot be displayed? I cannot access a site on my computer. I even typed the address correctly. I also cannot delate a user account in my computer. It just freezes when I delete an account.
ok check your internet connection if you have internet 7.0 and that comes up again click on the diagnostics link and it will check your connection and it will tell you whats wrong or go to the bottom right hand corner there should be a thing that looks like 2 computers click on that and there should be a general tab and a support tab click on the support tab and there should be a button that says repair click on that and it will hopefully fix your internet connection and if that does not work restart your computer. it depends on your operating system i have a windows xp so if you have one this should work but if it does not it helps to shut down the computer and if none of that call your isp (internet service provider) just call them and tell them what going on and they will help you. if you have anymore questions my email is christian_grg@hotmail.com.
