ok check if your computer is connected to the internet at all, the google doesnt mean that the computer is connected its your home page wheihc is saved on your computer and is always available.
check your router configurations to see if everythjing is working

sir,
i have some critical problem with my pc that i conduct a cyber cafe. my all pcs are connected with lan one of them is server. problem is that my 2 pcs out of 4 pcs have connectivity problem. 2 pcs are running correctly without any problem. rest 2 pcs browse only main page of google only but except google it doesn't connect with any other site. i have done all the corrections and modifications even i have done formatting twice but still having the problem.
system configuration are as follows:
celeron 2.4GHz, 128 RAM,40 GB Hard Disk, Realtek LAN(NIC),XP Operating System,R Connect (internet connection), IE6.
now need your advice so please give the solution as soon as possible.

you try reseting the router? there may be a problem with the router or the cables so i sugest you check that
simple test to see if your comps are connected.
on the computer that doesnt work with internet go to , START>RUN type in "cmd" then type in "ipconfig" and see the ip adress
on the computer that works fine do the same thing but instead of "ipconfig" type in "ping (ip adress of the comp that you recived from the non working computer)" if they fail its a router or cable problem, if they all arive normaly that means it a prob with your comp or some of the configurations

i personaly do not like the overpriced ipod series, primeraly becouse of so much space that you wont even fill up 1/4 of the way. the only way to buy songs is like thou their system and what ever. id just recomend buying a normal mp3 player
i own a 4 gb phillips which i bought for 150 buks and is workin perfectly lol
but thats just my opinion

iam using windowsXP & i encrypted my file and folder to save my work...
so
i was need to format windows and drive C: , all my encrypted files on Drive D:
after formating I cannot access to files,,some body told me that i am lost my files because i format encrypt Key,,????? as they think!!!!
Please Help me or give me any program that can access me to my files...i have nothing to do now except waiting> (link)

what do you meen encrypted, if you could provide a fle format into which you have put your files then perhaps i could point you to a program that understands it. and why would u encrypt your files for formating? you could have just put them on a disk in an archive

My new modem shows my connection speed as 115Kbps, but I thought that was the speed the serial port ran at?

ISP is internet service provider which is the company that provides the servirce.
it you have dsl or cable that speed that you told me is VERY slow. verizon runs at around 1.8mb/s even thou they advertise 3.0mb/s cable is a lil faster then that
just so u know that a dial up modem works at 58 kb/s

I got an ipod and i've used it for about 6 months now. it's a 20 GB regular size white iPod. but recently, for some reason it stopped downloading songs onto it. i mean, i could still download songs off of itunes, but i cant get them onto the ipod. idk if it's the cable or the ipod itself, but i really need help. most likely the cable
sometimes the usb port that you plug the cable into gets wobly from constant use and doesnt work properly so that might explain it as well

i dont give a dam what anyone says but compaws all the way.
i own 18 compaq and hp pc's and laptops. compared to anything else ive tried its very good.
dell is just stupid becouse it comes with a lot of unneded things and is just a company i would trust.
sony is just to expensive for what it does
toshiba is very unrealiable
apple arent compatible with things i need to use the laptops with

Alright, here's my problem. I operate on a Windows 95. I have been for years. I only operate on it because my parents are cheapies and won't let me purchase an upgrade. So, I am stuck with a Windows 95, Pentium I processor, 64 MB ram, and IE 4.0, and unable to download/upgrade anything I haver because they require Windows 98 or something.
Anyways, it works fine except for the essense of evil. Google Ads. For some reason, these ads crash my computer whenever they begin loading. I mean, I got onto this site because it didn't have an ad up when I arrived, but sometimes it does and I have to quickly press the X button or my computer crashes.
I tried to block all pictures, but they are text ads. I don't know how to get rid of them, as they are a constant pain.
Please help. How do I get rid of Google Ads? (link)

only suggestion i got for you is get a better comp l0lz.
google adds run on scripts which are imprinted onto the php or html runnign infront of it so even if you cant see it its still there.
i dunn how you can even live with somehting like that.
eight now you can get a dell desctop which is like 300 buks
2.4 ghz prosor
128 video
80 gigs sata hardrive
monitor+ what ever else you need
also comes with windows xp home eddition
so if your used to comps like you got now there would be no problem using this computer which is intended for a begginer user. JUST BEG your parents to buy a new comp lolz couze if you got a win 95 running meaning its pentium 2 or 3 which cant be upgraded much.
personaly i run
3.4 ghz prosesor with 2 gigs of ram and a 256 mb video card and its slow for me. so i dont know what your preferense is

hey i did what you told me to .. go to run and type in regedit.. well when i clicked on HKY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>WINDOWS>CURRANT VERSION/RUN
there was only one thing witch said Name: (Default) ..Type:REG_SZ ..Data: (value not set)
i clicked on the others and they were almost the same.. should i still delete them?> (link)

that is physicaly imposible, the "run" folder holds everything your computer boots up when you start it meaning that it cant be empty.
the only posibility is that you arent using the administrative account on your pc.
ask if you still need help
oo ya, no point deleting the defoult as its there just to give a alue to the folder so it wont be empty

When I start up I get the message "This computer is in use and has been locked" "Only pc-01/(my name) or an administrator can unlock the computer" Then get a screen with user name ( mine filled in) and below password (is blank)
If I click on ok it all opens up but am unable to open existing files in word etc. They are all marked "unavailable"
Do not know how I have done this but need to get thus sorted. Any help appreciated (link)

try solving it this way
restart your computer in safe mode
log in as the administrator no password is needed
go to the account manager and change the passwords to what you know
restart your computer in normal mode and change what ever you like.

unlike these amaturs who posted before me and suggested using system restore which doesnt really delete the virus and in most computers requares the cd's i recomand you do this
firest of all scan your computer for viruses with a free program (which most likely wont delete it)

then enter your registry
START>RUN>(type in) regedit
HKY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>WINDOWS>CURRANT VERSION/RUN
and delete the file anme that the program wasnt able to delete
THEN
HKY_CURRANT_USER>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>WINDOWS>CURRANT VERSION/RUN
but it may not be in this folder, it all depends on how your computer is set up.

REMEMBER TO SAVE YOUR REGISTRY BEFORE YOU MESS AROUND WITH IT BECOUSE IT MAY COUSE PERMANENT DAMAGE TO YOUR MACHINE

i recently purchased a USB stick memory card and it isnt working. i put it into my usb port as it instructs but nothing happened, it ried my otehr open ports still nothing, i tried my digital camera and it worked fine, so teh problem isnt the port. ive also tried installing the software it says is needed for older computers, even though mine is pretty new, with windows XP. anyone know waht could be wrong and a way to fix it? on some computers and some devises nothing will happen but plug it in and open "my computer" you should see a new icon there its ither a new hardrive or an external devise which you use as a folder

ok with ebay you havto make sure that you read everything carefully, in some cases the sellers will claim something like "all machines arent tested" which makes you automaticaly doubt that most of em even work. and just so u know there is no way to give items back 101
one more advise is that if you want something badly you have to wait untill the last 30 seconds of the auction then bid on it
ALWAYS AND I MEAN ALWAYS buy buyers protection just in case you pay and never get the items

ok what you got there is a trojan
go to your registry
START>RUN> (type in) regedit
HKY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>WINDOWS>CURRANT VERSION/RUN
delete the file name that resembles the one apearing or something that looks fishy.
THEN
HKY_CURRANT_USER>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>WINDOWS>CURRANT VERSION/RUN

KEEP IN MIND THAT BY DELETING THINGS FROM YOUR REGISTRY MAY PERMANANTLY DAMAGE YOUR COMPUTER SO MAKE SURE TO SAVE IT BEFORE YOU MAKE ANY CHANGES
