What advice would you give a 14 year old aspiring actress who's parents don't give a damn about her dreams, who lives out in the country, and isn't the stereotype of pretty? (link)
Try to still be you. It sounds like you will just have to do these things yourself. There will always be people out there to support you. You don't have to be pretty to still be a good actress. Get as much practice as you can in plays or even using your voice in creative ways to read a story to kids. Hope you can achieve your dreams!

Hi, I'm in theatre and I have an audition coming up in August for a Shakespeare play that my school is putting on. Our director is really strict and wants everything to be authentic, so for the part I need to learn a "Queen's English" accent. I tried watching a bunch of movies but whenever I actually try, it never sounds right. So I was wondering if anybody knew of any ways I could learn without having to hire a coach. (link)
Just start using this accent around the house and to your friends. They might even think it's kind of fun. And don't try too hard to make it sound right, or else it won't. After a while, your brain will figure out what's going on and fix it. Best of Luck! Hope I helped.

Okay, I don't usually get nervous before performing on stage. I get really nervous during auditions, though and because I'm nervous I perform poorly and I don't get a callback. I hate knowing that I could do really well, but blowing it because I'm nervous. Does anyone know how I can overcome my audition nerves? I will rate high. Thanks. (link)
Before you go to your audition, write down what you're afraid of. Like,'what if everyone laughs at me?' Then shoot it down by writing just below it, 'Everyone's nervous. Why would they laugh at ME?' Soon you'll see that most of your fears don't make any sense. Hope I helped!

I am in a play for school and its called "Poetry Coffee House". I need to wear a costume thats like from that period where they went to coffee houses and read poetry and snapped for applause. also when they talked like(this is a line in the play): Hey chaz, what you folks are gonna' see tonight is like.... alot.
I dont think we are supposed to dress like hippies but all our director said so far is the boys should wear barrets. please help i desperatly need it! (link)
Sorry, I'm probably late, but you will want to go for an artistic look... like, long pants, black shirt and a scarf? Hope I helped.

I'm a beginner I guess.
I'll love any good websites that improve a singing voice, warm ups, breathing tips, throat remedies..
And if you have any tips yourself.. :]
I'll also like to know what songs are easy to start with. Someone suggested songs from Wicked?
Thanks :] (link)
Breathing tip: remember to breathe. I'm serious. It's not pretty when someone doesn't breathe and they faint right there on the stage. It can happen. Remember to breathe deep while you can. But as for singing... Sing as much as you can and you will improve. Sing different styles and different speeds. The songs don't matter. But don't be shy about it. I know everyone wants to hear your awesome voice. Hope I helped!

Does anybody know any ways to learn your lines? like any unique ways or anything?

Hev (link)
Believe me, I have had to deal with this. A person will learn their lines best depending on what kind of a learner they are. I find it best to learn a small section at a time and say that section along with the next section. If it's a play, learn every act individually. It also is a good thing if you at least know where your cues end (or what the other person is talking about before your line.) It's hard work, but it's worth it. Hope I helped!

Ok. Me and my friends are working on a movie and we only have 3 people including me. We each have a lot of parts. Should we get more people? O yah? Do you think making a movie and sending it to Hollywood would make people like have a career in acting like the famous people? Can you give me some tips? (link)
Yes. You need more people if you want to catch the interest of ANYONE. But that's not the way to get attention. It's always useful, if you're looking for open casting calls, to do a search on the net.
