advice
I am a thirteen year old girl and whenever it comes to presentations...i start getting nevous. Not only presentations...reading out loud. My voice gets stuck and i cant read properly. Even if its in front of 16 students including my teacher. Im really scared. We have a presentation to do alone which is 7 minutes long. Practicing in front of the mirror does not help me. what else?? please i need advice so i wont be scared for the presentation
I used to be like this at school and college too, i used to find myself going bright red, getting panicky, stammering over my words, i found that explaining to the teacher really helped, they were more than happy to just let me do a presentation with them in the room and no one else.
Try explaining it and see if that is an option x

I have been set an assignment to do over the summer, I have lots of it complete, but I want it too be perfect so I was wondering if anyone here has any ideas of what else I could write about to improve it...
My project is about Hever Castle (an historic castle in the south of England, Kent)
I need to investigate..
- what products and services the organisation sells.
- what type of promotions they use and why they are appropriate.
- How they meet their customer needs.
Any ideas of what else I could include? I am already writing a little about the history of the castle as an extra, but I want to do something more to do with the promotional side of things, as that is the unit we are focusing on right now.
You could try and arrange an interview with one of the staff and ask them what you need to know. Take a dictaphone (sp?) with you and maybe give the tape to your tutors as part of your project aswel as the written interview.
Does anyone know if you can cheat by bringing a pocket laser with you? cause im going for school tomorrow and i really want to kick ***.
Thanks
Nate
No you can't, when you get hit by the laser it vibrates the special vest that you have to wear so you know you've been hit, a pocket laser won't be able to affect the laser vest.
Hi Chakra! I'm very interested in color therapy and would like to know how you became qualified. Any information on schools, programs, or web sites would be appreciated!!!
I found a website that has lots of hostilic therapy courses on,
http://www.naturalhealthcourses.com/home.htm
You can hearn from home which was great for me, you get sent workbooks through the post and then you study in your own time, once you've completed you work, you then send it back and you get graded.
Once you have completed the course and get a certain percentage in your exam and overall course work, you get a certificate and you can then use the letters SNHS (school of natural health sciences) after your name :-)
It can be quite expensive but if you chose "self tutor" it works out cheaper.
There's lots of other colour therapy courses online, but they are very expensive, search in google for ""colour therapy" home study", unless you want to study it at college then you can see if there are any colleges nar you that do it but i think it's more of a distance learning subject.
Love Chakra x

yea okay were doing this dead person project. and we have to make tombstones. anyway. it has to be like a foot tall. and i don't know what to make it out of? and it has to be 3D and be able to stand..please helpp asap!!
when we had to make a big sculpture in art we used chicken wire first to sculpt the shape we want. so you could make a tombstone shape from chicken wire, it will mould into any shape you want, then you can cover it with newspaper and glue and paint it once its dried and gone hard.
there are these girls in my school and they bully me to often. It is interfering with my grades.help!
try not to spend anytime alone.
Tell a really nice teacher, someone who is easy to talk to and tell the head of year or head teacher. It's their job to help you so explain to them that you are being badly bullied and something needs to be done because it is affecting your life and school work and making you scared to come to school.
Also, keep a diary of everything that is being said and done to you with dates and times, it could just be a rough time of day, morning break or period 3 for example. then if they bullying hasnt died down, take the diary to the teachers again.
have a look at these websites, you might find them helpful, The first one is the best one, it tells you how to deal with bullies in certain places.

Hello just thought some people might know what some of these parts of the mosque are as I found NO information on the internet...........
-Madrasahs ( I know its a kind of school but couldn't find anything else)
-Mortuarys. (I know its a kind of cemetry but where is it located in perspective with the mosque building, e.c.t)
Cheers.
hiya, i had a look and found a website that tells you about masrasahs, it tells you what they are and what is taught in them.
http://www.madrasah.edu.sg/about.html
Mortuary: white tiled flooring for easy cleaning for hygienic purposes. Has a waiting room outside. Has a large washing area.
the mortuary is the area for Muslims to get prepared and washed before burial.
What should I do if I get bullied a lot by kids at school? I go to a catholic school, too and its still happening. Junior High can definitly be tough. I get picked on by 7th graders and kids my age. What should I do? My parents and I have tried and tried but nothing has worked! I've gotten nasty emails and instant messengers, and rude and harassing phone calls. can you help me?

I have to give an oral presentation in fron otthe whole class, but I suck at public speaking. I start getting really red and then i start to shake and I stumble over words. Right now I am absolutly terrified at the thought of giving a speech. What can I do to overcome this fear?
Please dont give me an answer that says "you will fail everytime"
i have this trouble too, i had panic attacks if theres even any chance that i had to read something out loud in class.
have a quiet word with your teacher thery're alone. explain to them that you have panic attacks and have been having them and getting really really nervous for weeks just thinking about reading in front of everyone. then try and arrange so you just have to read in front of her/him. thats what i started doing at school and college when i had presentations. its still scary but alot easier.
I dont know why, maybe my friend is just an easy target for them, but just the people in my class bully her so much! She lets trhem get to her and she wont participate in anything, and the school wont do anything about it, i dont think the teacher cares much, her parents definitly dont, abd her friends, ( not including me) dont say anything. actually they hang out w/ her cuz she has no1 else. she cant change schools, either. its been hard enough for her just starting her period, and shes failing almost every class. what should i do to help her?!!!
You really need to be there for your friend and support her, talk to her other friends too and get everyone to stick up for her. this will give her more confidence and make her happier.
Go with her to tell a different teacher about what is happening and how bad the bullying is. Tell a really nice teacher, someone who is easy to talk to and tell the head of year or head teacher.
Also get her to keep a diary (or you do it for her or as well as) of everyhting that has been said and done her her along with the date and time. it could just be a rough time of day, morning break or period 3 for example. then if they bullying hasnt died down, take the diary to the teachers again. They have to protect the students from being bullied.
