I'm a fourteen year old girl from California. I'm a rabid liberal/feminist an a writer. I've been through cutting, and I'll try not to give bad advice. Ask me whatever you like . . . I'm not so good on romance questions, with a lack of any significant experience, but I'm good on everything else.

What are some good truth or dares? plz hell cause im having a Sleepover. (link)
At my 12th birthday party, we all dared each other to moon the cars that passed by in the street. That was fun . . . we accidentally mooned some policement by mistake. O_O

Dare someone to get naked under a blanked and stay like that the entire night.

hello. all my life i have been made fun of because of my muslim faith. people always say, there is bin laden, get him.they think i support the 9/11 attacks. my parents support them but i don't. please help me get through this before i go crazy. (link)
Your parents are making this much harder.

First, tell people that Bin Laden is a poor example of Islam and that you don't agree with him.

Anyone stupid enough to pick on you over this deserves everything you can throw at him/her. Tell them not to be so racist.

Complain to the school counselor if the teasing persists.

And, of course, don't lose your faith unless you want to. Religion is a personal desision. It should be made by YOU, not by a bunch of bigotted classmates.

Hi, Im 14 and my dad is mormon and my mom is just christian (they are divorced, sense i was 4) and my mom has a problem with me being mormon. well i was thinking about joining the wicca religion, can you maybe give me some advice about it, like do they believe in god and stuff like that, cuz my friend alyssa is wiccan and she hasnt really explained it very well.
Thanks alot!

Wicca is a great religion. You can do what you like with it because it's flexible, and most wiccans are fairly oppenminded.

I can't explain all of wicca very quickly, because there's a lot of sides to it. For more information, try:
http://witchvox.com/
http://wicca.com/
http://wicca.timerift.net/

From what I can tell, wicca is a nature-based religion, part of paganism for those more interested in spells and rituals. I've considered it as a religion myself, but never actually joined.

Good luck!

(and, considering the situation with your parents, you might want to be careful about having wicca around your mother, who doesn't seem too tolerant)

this is gonna sound really bad...please no body be offinded...but i fell in love w/ this black guy and we dated for 6 months then i moved in w/ my aunt and uncle and they wont let me date him.i think its the most stupid thing ive ever heard in my whole damn life. what should i do. (link)
If they're not letting you date him because of his race, then they're wrong. Tell them how he's a great person, really nice to you, and all the other reasons he's wonderful.

If it's not because of race, then figure out why they don't like him and come up with counter arguments.

"He distracts you from schoolwork" - "He cheers me up and keeps me going."

And the like. Good luck!

This girl from church told me that she was in love, yes, in love with one of her female teachers. This girl is fourteen years old. I just need some advice on what I should say to her if I get to speack with her again. (link)
She's either bisexual or homosexual, and try to respect that and not act weird.

On the teacher thing, it's normal to have crushes on older people, but it's unrealistic, and the teacher is probably straight. She probably knows this, and if she asks your opinion, just tell her that, but be nice about it.

My mom and dad are jewish. my parents want me to be like them and do what they do. my best friend is christian and she took me to church with her once and i recieved Jesus into my life. i really want to be like my friend and be christian but my parents wont accept it! what do i say to them? i am my own person right? (link)
You are your own person and you have the right to believe what you want. Your parents can still make you participate in Jewish customs though.

Talk to your parents. Don't be preachy, don't say anything bad about Judeism, but just tell them that you want to try Christianity.

If they still don't want you to be Christian, try to reach a compromise, like switching off between Church and Synagogue.

Be sincere and polite, and don't bring up your friend in this because they might accuse you of just trying to fit in.

hey I have a question. What is the diference between a christain or a cathloc? I always thought that they were the same in general. but sence being on this site I have noticed people say they are in fact diferent.

and one more thing can somebody tell me what a pagan is? not to be rude or anything. i know that that is a religion but do magic or something.

so answering my question would really be helpful.

According to dictionary.com, a pagan is defined as "one who is not a Christian, Muslim, or Jew, especially a worshiper of a polytheistic religion."

I think you can also add Hindus and Buddhists in there as non-pagans.

A pagan might worship the Norse gods or Greek gods, for example. I know more about wicca than paganism (no, they are not the same thing, wiccans have more of a focus on spells) but I hope I helped.

I dont believe in God, or Satan, or heaven and hell. I think its just a story told to us to try and make us act like better people. Please comment. (link)
I agree with you completely. I dislike most religions that will throw such unlikely ideas at you and tell you that you MUST believe theM.

I'm an athiest, but i don't try to force people to believe what I believe. I don't challenge other people's beliefs. I've had this one guy bother me for 5 years about being an athiest. (I go to a PK-12 school distict). He's always asking me why I'm not religious, why I don't believe in God, etc, ect, and so on. i've done everything I can think of, including inflicting bodily harm on him (well - I dropped a book on his head. But I don't even think that hurt him) but he won't stop. how do I stop him? (link)
I'm also an atheist, and I've had the same problem.

Usually it blows over in a while, but that doesn't seem to be with this guy.

Is it possible to avoid him entirely? Don't talk to him in class, keep away from him at lunch.

If he's been bugging you for five years, he's not likely to stop soon. If there's someone you can report him to, report him. Otherwise, ignore him entirely.

I have a friend who's about to be initiated into Wicca. I know what Wicca's about, and that's mainly why I've been hoping he wouldn't. He's getting initiated on Saturday, and I'm really worried. Is there anything I can do to talk him out of it in five days?!? (link)
Don't try to talk him out of it. Wicca is a wonderful religion. Learn to accept it -- you might learn something.

My cousin lives far away and I get to see her like maybe two months a year well the last time I saw her she said that she has done to many things for God to love her and so she has became an atheist. I don't know what to do except pray but I feel like I need to do more for her. Every time I ask a question on this website no one gives me good answers that I can relate to so please don't let me down! (link)
I don't think you have the right to try to make your cousing believe in God. It's her belief, and you can't force her to think in a certain way. If she really does believe in God, she'll go back to the Church, and, as I understand it, God will forgive her. If she really is an atheist, then you'll just have to get used to it.

I have been an athiest for about four years, and I have begun to feel lacking in that area. I looked up many differnt religions, and took trusted belief tests to see what would best fit with what I really want and believe. The tests all pointed to Pagan. I have looked up on it, and it just seems to fit. I feel so happy, even just going through a normal day is better now that I have found it. However, I do not think my parents (catholic and athiest) will accept it. Anyone who has had a similar "coming out" (be it of religion or sexual orientation) care to help me form a plan, so they might see my view?

Blessed Be (link)
Never had an experience like that before, but having read a lot of the other answers, I am going to tell you to ignore the people who are telling you that your attraction to paganism is "just a phase." It's your life, you have the choice. If paganism doesn't work for you, you can change and maybe learn something from the whole thing. If it does work, then you'll be happy and glad you didn't dismiss it as "just a phase."

On the "coming out" thing . . .
Your atheist parent probably won't care, and if your catholic parent married an atheist there shouldn't be a problem there either. Maybe don't sit them down and tell them, but just don't try to hide your religion either?

OK me and my friends were having a discussion and one of my friends stated that the faith of catholic is just another branch of christianity, but catholics have very very different beliefs then christians do. Can someone help me make up my mind? (link)
The first Christians made up the Catholic church, and everyone else split off later. So, although Catholics are very different from other Christians, Catholics are Christians themselves.
