Okay I don't have a purity ring yet, but I vowed to stay sexually pure until marriage. That obviously means no sex until marriage but does that mean no masterbating or anything like that? Like what are the guidlines most people who vow to stay sexually pure until marriage live by?
My sincere congratulations to you. Although you don't have a purity ring yet (as you say), I appreciate your decision of staying sexually pure. I believe in the same principle as you do as far as sex before marriage is concerned. As far as masterbation is concerned, I would like to say, try to avoid it as much as you can. The thing here is that if you do not get involved in sexual relationship untill marriage but masterbate, you remain pure only phsically but certainly not psycologically. This is my belief. You have the freedom to disagree. However, it is important for me to include that I myself, at times, falter on my principles. If you are wondering I am a hypocrite who suggests to do something, however, does not follow himself, well, we all are like that since we are only human beings and we can never be perfect. You should attempt at not masterbating at all and then you will probably end up doing it with very less frequuency. I aim at not doing it at all but I end up doing it occassionally. However, in no way, I am trying to mean you will also end up doing it with less requency as I do. You may end up doing it with even lesser frequency or for that matter NOT AT ALL!
