I am a substitute teacher at Satsuma High School in Satsuma, Alabama. I LOVE it.
i LOVE music more than anything.
I dont know what i would do without my friends.

I am a Freshman at Faulkner State Community College studying secondary education in U.S. history.
I love oldies and country... classic rock, some punk, 80's music is the bomb.
I'm addicted to shopping.
I like being outside when its cold.
I actually like hurricanes. Just not the whole chaos and mass destruction part.
Im usually not very good at school, but I've been doing better this year.
I have one BEST friend, but i have a whole bunch of people that i call good friends.
I dont like to just hang out with one person. i like to hang out in groups.
Family means a lot to me.. i try to visit my family as much as i can
I plan on moving out on my own in May, and im terrified.

i recently moved with my mom and brother just into town. i still go to the same school and everything. we dont have alot of money, while my friends do. i know for christmas i'm not going to get very much, and i'm ok with that.. but my friends go on about alll the stuff they're getting, and i dont want to hear about it. what's a polite way to tell them to just back off and shut up?
screw being polite.. they wont get the message if you dont use some force. just tell them that you dont think its very fair for them to ramble on and on about how damn spolied they are. call them spoiled brats, that always seems to help.

my dad almost killed me, i wont go near him any more. im so scared! he came at me because i threw his glasses on the floor. he kicked me hit me and pulled my hair! oh yeah i did have a knife but i therw it on the table and ran!

Maybe you should try calling the police. That could be filed as child abuse. If this is a continuing thing, please seek professional help immediately! If you need to, get out of the house and use a cell or bneighbor's phone to get someone over to our house to help you. Oh, and flip your dad a nice big bird for me. He aint got the right to treat you like that.

I came to USA 4 years back because of job and now in the attempt of earning and saving more money, I am stuck up here. My family( My wife and my kids) was with me for last 2 years and they went back recently to my home country because of certain family problems. I am missing my family too much. I dont know, how american/european/russian/asian people feel if they undergo in the same situation. Let me know what and how you feel. Thanks. MACHADS
My stepfather is actually in Quatar right now, so I know how the separation feels. I know its hard sometimes, but keep strong and be positive. We unfortunately cant go with my stepfather, but he can come visit us whenever he has vacation time. Try planning large family vacations if you can. Meet somewhere like a halfway point (i hear Ireland is BEAUTIFUL!!), try an overseas telecommunications service(www.bigzoo.com is a good one), use web cams so you can continue to see your family, send photos and letters or email constantly,and get your wife to mail you your childrens schoolwork in the mail so you can keep up with what your kids are doing. I hope by sharing my experiences, you can find some peace in being seperated from your loved ones!

I just got kicked out of my moms house and i am starting off fresh at my dads. He doesnt trust me and neither does my grandma. I can t talk on the phone without them listening or i cant get on the computer with out them reading my stuff. I cant go anywhere without them spying on me. They dont let me go any where to begin with. I have to sneak on the phoen and the com at night. I ask if they can just ftrust me and they are like no. They dont even know me. My grandma thinks buying me things is going to keep me out of trouble and my dad thinks keeping me from the world is going to keep me out of trouble as well. I need some advice .
Well, maybe you gave them a reason not to trust you. Try showing them how responsible you are. Do something to show them they can trust you, and i dont think that sneaking on the phone and the cpmouter is gonna help! Just give them a little time to see they can trust you.
