Those sites are not to be trusted. Seriously, they aren't. If you are worried about your weight ask your doctor. He will evaluate your health in the proper way and not just by weight and height. Another thing you should rember, everything is beautiful. Everyone is beautiful. Love yourself whatever size you are and take care of your body and the problem will practically solve itself.

Is there anything bad for you in Diet Sodas? I know they say regular sodas are bad for you because they have so much sugar, but since diet sodas have none, does that mean they're fine for you? Is it okay if you have one or more a day? Or is there other bad stuff for you in there?

Yes. There is a sugar replacement calles Aspartame that many people believe can cause brain tumors. If you want a soda or a diet soda I wouldn't drink morthan one a day (maybe not even that). I stay completly away from sodas and I feel so much betterfor it. Hope this helps :)

How do you de-stress?? I have been having the worst stressful days and I have been having horrible headaches as a result. I need to destress.

It might help trying to find out when things get stressed out for you. If you have trouble with this, just remeber life is good. Sure, problems do occur but if you make what you can out of life, it is good. There is so much to be happy about. Positive attitudes seem to help me with stress. Another thing you might try is drinking lots of water, getting lots of sleep, and treating yourself to plenty of free-time to do whatever you want. Be sure it is something you enjoy and that will help you relax. Excercise, believe it or not might help as well especially yoga or something focused on smooth and easy breathing. If all else fails try a movie night with chocalate and one of your most understanding friends. That usually helps me. Hope everything turns out really well for you. If you want more tips, you can always ask me for some more advice. And remeber this: you can always change the effect of a stressful situation by turning into something you can laugh about- taking a positive approach might also help you solve problems to prevent whatever may be causing stress-outs. :) Warm tea also does the trick. if ur on a like salad andvegie fruit diet and if u ate a lil btit of cereal like at 12 can u gain a lil bit of weight...im trying to eat every 4 hours

It isn't very smart to eat like this. You need carbs and protien for energy. If you are concerned with your weight try eating no meat (since it is high in cholesterol) and eating only wheat or darker colored breads. The way you are eating might actually slow your metabolism down even though you are eating every four hours. Okay my little brother is sooo picky when it comes to eating. he doesnt eat meat what so ever. he lives off of chips and captain cruch cerial! Oh and I cant forget about candy! My point being is he eats all this junk and hes not chubby for his age and height. I know hes only 7 years old but still how can u NOT be chubby and eat junk food everyday. Its not like he runs around cuz hes always in the house playing video games haha. Here I am busting my butt off trying to lose weight because im 16 yrs old weigh 115 lbs and im 5'4". How is this? Should I be a vegitarrian like him?

There is nothing wrong with being vegitarian. I am what some would say "pure vegitarian" (or vegan) which mean I don't eat any animal products (milk, eggs, cheese, ect.). I am much more healthy and happy for it. It is however important to get a balanced diet (fruits, veggies, other forms of protein-soy,nuts,beans). Second of all, your weight is fine according to self.com 's BMI test. Though you might feel better and benefit from a vegitarian/vegan diet. I know I have. And the extra added bonus- you will have this new outlook on animals in the food industry. Research the matter. A great book to start with is called 'Diet for A New America' by John Robbins. You will most likly feel empowered if you choose to eat this way. Hope this will help you make a few choices. :)

I heard that if you eat 6 small meals a day, instead of 3 big its better for you. Any truth to this?

yes, I've heard the same thing. It speeds up your metabolism and helps with digestion. The only thing you need to make sure of is that you eat the same amount (or a normal amount) just split into different intervals of the day. Hope this helps you. :)

hey i think i might be overweight. i'm 5'7 and weigh 105 lbs. my bff said i'm a beanpole. but i think i culd lose weight. help.

According to your BMI you are actually underweight. Everyone holds thier weight differntly, it's unique NOT ugly. Everyone is beautiful it is just there are so many pressure to staying thin in the world now. Don't ever question your beauty. You are perfectly fine just the way you are. If, though you want proof, please visit your doctor. If you also need help with maybe gaining weight to get your BMI back up to normal, take the first couragous step and visit your doctor. The people who love you will support you, no matter what. The first step is the hardest and it is better to take it a be strong than give in and be weak. And just remeber, no matter what happens in your life simply because you exist YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL
