I only joined this because I realized that all of my friends come to me for advice. I have two gifts: the gift of gab, and the gift of brutal honesty. I am trying to remember that there is a difference between brutal honesty and bitchiness. I am really cute, relatively intelligent, and sort of funny, so I think I am in at least the top 25 percent of the general population of humans. My advice might be the stuff you don't want to hear, but it is probably the stuff that you need to know.

Hi,
For a long time in my life I've felt like people just can't tell me the truth about things. Whether it's my family, friends, people at businesses, or just some random person I meet on the street. I feel like everyone is afraid to tell me the truth because they either think I can't handle it or I'll get angry and upset. Do they feel ashamed to admit something to me? I can handle it when I'm told the raw truth about something, even if it's something that could potentially hurt me. But perhaps I'm not showing people that I want to hear the truth. Is there a way I can let people know that they can be honest with me and I'm not going to be angry with them if they are? Also how do I let them know without saying "I think you are lying. Go on, tell me the truth".
Any kind of remotely helpful advice would be apreaciated. Thanks! (link)

Have you noticed that the few people who are blatantly honest are always deemed "bitches" and "asshats"? Honesty is something that is difficult for a lot of people to deal with. Generally speaking, people are frightened of the truth. I'm sure it's not you. I'm sure it's the general public. With that being said, all you can do is be honest, which would result in you telling all of the dishonests that they need to be truthful. Start treating people the way you want to be treated (whoa. that was a little too cliche, wasn't it?), and hopefully some of your honesty will rub off on them. I do apologize for the vague answer but it's hard to be specific with a topic that is as broad as general honesty.

i have hair on my arms. about a year ago i started to shave them, but i only did about twice cause my friend told me that it makes the hair darker and stronger.
i haven't shaved them since.
but i have noticed that they are black now, and i don't want to shave them cause of what my friend said.
what else could i do? wax? or something else?
thanks =D (link)

Oh wow, I can't believe no one told you to bleach the hair. I'm going to assume that the hair is not super thick, it's probably just super dark. Bleaching is totally the answer. Arm hair is totally normal and fine looking. In fact, people without arm hair look kind of creepy and weird. Just go to the drug store and pick up some Sally Hansen bleach (it will probably be in the face goo aisle of the store). It's less than ten bucks, it doesn't hurt, and it will totally solve the problem. The best thing is that it will basically last forever.

I'm a 15 year old girl who has a little problem with acne and oil. I wear foundation but it doesn't seem to help too much. I don't want something that looks cakey, but something that will cover the redness and acne and still look natural.
Can someone help me in any way? (whether it's a good face cleanser/toner, a good foundation, or tips on makeup... anything will help.) (link)

I was a 15 year old girl once who had a little problem with acne and oil. I wore foundation and it didn't seem to help too much.
**CORRECTION**
I was a 15 year girl once whose acne was so frequent, you could play connect the dots for HOURS on my forehead. There was more crap on my forehead than stars in the sky. It was. Disgusting. Gross. Awful.
....and then...
I found Tea Tree Oil.
The Body Shop. (order it online if there are no Body Shops by you, but they seem to have a store in every mall in America)
It was the greatest thing I had ever found. I would still use it now except that I don't have acne problems anymore because I FINALLY grew up. I think you can get a bottle of cleanser for 10-15 bucks. It's amazing. And believe me, I tried everything from those stupid Oxy Pads at the drug store to the Clinique 3 Step System (huge rip off), to prescription meds that my doc gave me. Tea Tree Oil was the *only* thing that worked for me.
Try it.
You'll be sending me a thank you card with a pic of your totally awesome face, I'm sure.
oh oh oh, I almost forgot!
There are a zillion types of foundation out there.
Oil based, water based, thick, thin, etc.
Go to a MAKEUP COUNTER in a mall, and have someone show you the differences. They can tell you which ones look best. If you have acne, you CAN wear foundation, but you need a foundation that isn't going to look cakey or make you break out even more. Almost every makeup counter in every mall will give you a FREE consultation, just look up their phone numbers and call first.
Definitely consider Clinique and Origins, two brands that are very good for the skin.

is it normal when you shave your pubic hair for it to itch alot after ?.. thanks in advanced (link)

This is completely normal. The skin in the vaginal area is much more sensitive and the hair is much more coarse. It is only natural for you to itch after shaving. Suggestions: aloe vera (I also believe drug stores carry a line of lotions/gels specifically for that)
