how can i increase my metabolism?

Drink lots of water and do lots of cardio.

I want to lose about 5-8 lbs in 3 weeks..is that possible? And how can i lose this weight fast? (link)
Yes, it is possible and it's also a healthy amount.

First, cut out all sodas and replace it with water.
Cut out all junk food and when you're hungry in between meals, snack on fresh fruit and veggies.

Cut down calories and still be healthy with the plate trick:
Half your plate should be fruit and veg.
A quater should be fish or chicken
and the other quater should be carbs (rice, pasta, bread, etc)

Don't do what the other person said and cut out bread and carbs. Carbs are your main source of energy. But instead of white bread, whole wheat brown bread.

If you're hungry when you're bored but you're trying not to snack then carry a glass of ice around with you and when you feel like chewing when you're bored, eat ice.
That way you satisfy your boredom with no calories and more water.

Do lots of cardio (running, dancing, rope jumping, etc) do 30-60 minutes everyday if possible but if not do at least 3 hours a week.
Also, if you want to tone your stomach too do crunches for your abs and side crunches for love handles.

If you sit down and do nothing but are still sweating, you're not losing weight.
You're losing water.

You could however lose a little bit of water weight which is immediatly restored once you drink something.

It's not the sweating that makes you lose weight, it's the excersizing.
For example, if you do cardio (running, jump rope, dancing, etc..) you sweat alot. it's the excersize that makes you lose the body fat not the sweat.

ok i really wanna loose weight espicallly in the upper arm inner thighs and ESPICLLY the stomach. Can some one please give me some exercises?? Give me sorta a "diet" plan like how should i try to eat what should i try to eat and drink. Please i really wanna loose weight. i weight 160-162 and i really wanna weight 140 - 145 but i dont' really care bout how muchi weight just how i look please help me please!!! (link)

The same as regular crunches but with your legs to the side.
