I'm Rachel, I'm 20 and a Junior at Michigan State University! I've been with advicenators for a few years, and I enjoy coming on ever so often to help someone who needs it. I love giving advice, especially to people who have been in the same situation as I have. So ask away ;)
By the way, I just wanted to let everyone know that though I do enjoy this site, advicenators does not consume my life, so please be patient when waiting for a response. It may take up to 2 days, it may be instantaneous.

15/f, going to be a sophomore
field hockey tryouts start next week, tuesday august 5th. i'm running everyday, trying to eat healthy, etc. i am really really really nervous though, and i was wondering what i should do the day before tryouts? should i run still? if anyone has any tips for advice please give them to me, i'm trying to do everything to prepare.
Although I don't do field hockey, for the sports I DO try out for, I don't really run the day before tryouts. Usually I just continue to eat healthy, hydrate by drinking water and nothing else (soda, juice, etc), stretch a lot, and as the other person said, just relax. :)
hey whats the best workout to tone your lower stomach? thanx xxx
Running helps remove fat around your stomach area. Crunches help plenty, but what I've found to be really effective for the lower stomach is to do reverse sit-ups, leg lifts, and bicycle crunches. Here's a site to help:

Hope I was some help!

okay well im pretty skinny. but i think my legs -thigh area- is kinda fat. is there any way i can lose weight around there and fast?! i try like all this stuff but its hard.. please help! i rate high!
Lots of excercises that work your legs, such as walking, running, jogging, leglifts, wallsits, etc. There are a few here: http://toneteen.com/exercises/legs.htm that may help you. Be careful though, because although some excercises help reduce the size of your thighs, some excercises may actually tone your legs, but make them bigger by muscle gain. It depends on the different excercises.
Hope I was some help!
