To tone up your abs, you have to do a combination of work outs rather than just sit up type of work outs. Cardio is very important, so jog or walk a lot! It breaks down fat tissue and it helps to let your muscles under your fat on your stomach show.
Here's a really good website.

Q: i thought i had a ton of stomach hairs, and well i kind of do, but i recently noticed that they dont look noticeable really unless im out in the sunlight, so my stomach doesnt bother me unless i am outside. so...since its not that bad i think i should just shave every once in awhile based on other peoples advice. ive heard so many different things......does shaving your stomach make hairs grow back any thicker than before or not? please only answer if you know for sure!! thanks!

5'5 and 130 was exactly my weight and height last month (i've lost 8 pounds) I was a medium in shirts, and a size 5 in pants. BUT, it all depends on your body shape and your boob size (mine are a B) so your shirt size might not be the same. hope i helped.

Q: okay so i'm like 5'5 i'd say but i'm not 100% sure, i could be shorter, but i'm 120. and i wanna be down to at least 110. it seems like impossible! i think i have love handles & i wanna get rid of them. umm if i run almost everyday & drink water & watch what i eat do you think i can do it in like a month? what else can i do, like excercises. and please don't answer unless you've done something like this before and it worked. no offense but i need answers not suggestions. thank you

when i wanted to tone down, i drank A LOT of water. Also, i ate vegetables and fruit, i ate the normal portions you're supposed to eat. i cut out all the fatty things, too. I started excersizing for about 30 minutes a night by doing push ups, sit ups, and lifting weights. During the day i'd go for a run for about 30 minutes, also. Aerobic excersizes work well for your body if you want to lose weight. It may seem like a lot, but its really not. I lost about 7 pounds in 5 days at the beginning, and then gradually it went down some. i believe you can lose 10 pounds in a month, but i dont think it'd be healthy for you. You seem to be at a pretty good weight right now. I think what you might want to do is tone up.

Q: Basically, I want to loose 20lbs by the end of school. Right now, I'm 16/f and weigh 151lbs and 5'6. I would like to weigh 130-135. So far I've been eating::
Breakfast- Oatmeal, Bannana, Diet Iced Tea.
Snack- Grannola bar
Lunch- Turkey Sandwhich, Yogurt, Carrots
Snack- Strawberry's, or some sort of fruit.
Dinner- A Lean Cousine Or Healthy Choice. (under 400 calories)
Every Day or so I also take a walk, or work out for forty minutes and then lift weights.
am i doing everything correctly? Do you think I can loose enough weight by the end of school? And what kind of foods should I add to my diet, if there are any?
thanks for the help :)

yes. that is a healthy meal plan for the day. make sure you get the reccommended servings of water, [8 cups] since it is a vital part in the human body's health. make sure to cut out soda, and juices like gatorade. [ if you want juices, it should be the orange juice, grape juice, etc. type juices] the soda and juices could be whats keeping you back from being as healthy as you could be. also, during your work out, you should run for at least 20 minutes. running is a very good excersize and helps in the cardiovascular system. 20 minutes is what you need to run or jog in order to get at your maximum beats per minute- which i learned in health today- is what you'd want to be at, and gradually that beats per minute goes down as you're used to the running. =D hope i helped.
