I've spent a good deal of my (presently short) life trying to come up with answers to everything. Haven't gotten there yet, but I'm glad to have a place to share what I think is true, and recieve likewise. Anyway, feel free to throw questions at me (But a word to the wise, I'm not so good with relationship questions. Ask me about something more predictable then a human heart, dang it :p )

i am suppose to be getting a clarinet for christmas, but i dont know which brand to ask for. Does anybody have any good brands?? Also, you could help me out by giving me some really good music sites to order music books and stuff. Thanks so much!! (link)
Getting your first instrument, definately ask around at your local music shop, or talk to the Band Directer at your school. Which brand you want depends on what your plans for the future are, musically. If you're ever planning on being in Marching Band, Vito's have a reputation for surviving horrible punishment, whereas if you plan to stay in a concert-style band, you'll probably do best on a Buffet. Yamaha and Selmer produce several different models of both learning and professional quality, so you may want to look into them, as well.
