yes. sex isn't the only way to catch an std. for example: herpes can be on your genitals as well as on your mouth. consider this, a guy gives a girl oral sex that has genital herpes. once he's touched that area, he is now infected on his mouth. he then kisses another girl, who now has it, that gives a boy oral sex, who now also has genital herpes. it spreads like crazy, so you have to be careful about who you are being physical with, not just sexual. this herpes example is one of many, so please be careful and get checked for stds before being sexual.

Hey you guys I'm a 14 year old female.
Now, I know that hormones can cause some teenagers to masturbate, and that it's healthy and releases sexual tension. But I'm not totally convinced, and I'm afraid its wrong. I'm also afraid that I'm backstabbing my mom by not telling her whats going on. She knows I've gotten my hormones, because I told her one night at 3 in the monring because I couldn't sleep. masturbating 2 a day isn't bad, as long as it doesn't take over your life. if you think about wanting to do it 24/7, that's not good. you can do it, but don't let it control you.

I had sex about 3 days ago and yes it was my first time. I was bleeding after it but it kept bleeding so I thought it was my period. It's still bleeding now but I really don't think it's my period because most of the time it's bright red and just isn't like my period. Is it normal to still be bleeding? helpppp

Usually after your first time having sex or after getting your cherry popped, you only bleeds a few drops of blood for a few seconds.
I don't think you are bleeding from having sex, I think it's just your period. But if you feel any pain or discomfort or it lasts longer than a period should, consult a parent or trusted adult about this. You may need to see a doctor just to be on the safe side.

I'm really confused about my sexuality. There are so many things that turn me on. I have no idea which ones for me. I don't know if I'm gay, straight, or bi. I don't know what I'm into. First of all, you have to keep in mind that everyone questions their sexuality at one point or another. Yeah, even all those hardcore christians out there. So don't worry, you aren't the only one who has gone through this. I promise.
You're right. There are so many things a person can be. And I understand why you're so confused. But here's the thing, you have your entire lifetime to choose. No one's making you choose now. So don't worry, you've got plenty of time. Just remember this, gay or straight, you're still in love with someone. So when you meet a special someone, whether it's a girl or a boy, you'll know what you are. It's ok. If anyone asked you, just say what you want to say, 'undecided' works, doesn't it?
Don't be scared. There are clubs, blogs, websites, all sorts of support groups out there for gay, bi, straight, and undecided people. Try finding one, that may help you choose.

It could be many different things. You didn't give us much information to help you out with.
It could be an ingrown hair. If you shave your vagina, it could have gotten infected. So try putting hydrocortisone on it.
It could be just a pimple also. It's possible to get them down there you know. If the hydrocortisone doesn't work, try popping it if it doesn't hurt to bad. If you feel any discomfort, stop immediately!
Or yes, it could be an STD. I doubt it though, because usually with STDS you will see more problems then just one little bumb. If it doesn't go away within a few weeks, try going to the doctor and see what (s)he says.

The best advice I can give you is to relax and not think about having an orgasm. Enjoy yourself and try not to focus on anything else. So here's a question you don't hear often...
I'm 19/F and I'm a large build... I'm only 5'7, but I'm a size 14 or so, 38DD. The problem is finding a style of clothes that fits me well... most clothes are designed for skinny people and then the size is just bumped up, and it's really frustrating! Button up shirts pucker, long sleeve shirts won't fit my arms...
I want to be able to dress my age without looking like I'm stuffed into my clothes.
Anybody have any suggestions for clothing styles that will flatter me? I'm not a plus size, either.

Now for some tips which will help you get the most out of your figure;
The biggest mistake plus sized girls make is wearing baggy clothes in attempt to cover themselves better. This is what I call a no-no. So the best thing you can do is find clothes that fit correctly, because this maxamize you body in a good way.
Measure yourself. Knowing your measurements will help tremendously when it comes to shopping and especially when it comes to getting assistance from a worker there. If you know your sizes, it will be easier for them to help you find something that will compliment your figure.
Always try on clothes. The sizes on clothing varies from store to store. For example, a size 16 in fashion bug is a smaller size 16 than walmart. And you don't want to end up with clothing that's to loose/tight do you?
As for tops experts say that wrap tops are a good way to compliment your body. Also try finding longer shirts. It smoothes out your figure.
Jackets are a great way to help make you look thinner. You said you have trouble with long sleeve tops because you can't get them around your arms, and that's because you aren't finding the correct size. Which brings me back to finding your measurements.
Boot cut and flared are the best pants for bulky women. When shopping stay away from tapered legs and pleated pants.

i recently got two dwarf hamsters, and the female, i think it is a female, which i had for two days, is now hiding in a part of a maze i got for them, she hasn't been exersing much, and i feel she maybe sick. i have already seperated the male from the cage when i first thought that she might be sick or pregnant. she is very hard to coach out of that part of the maze, and when she isn't in there she is laying in her spot in the cage or briefly nawing on some food then back to her spot, this started about4 hours ago. if the symptoms sound like anything that you might reconize
I had 2 dwarf hamsters also, they are hard to keep healthy. Both of mine died in a short period of time no matter what we did to keep them alive. One had a disease called "wet tail" which is really just diarrhea. But for some reason, it kills hamsters. Once it became sick, the other hamster killed it and then ended up catching the disease and dying also. It was very upsetting.
It sounds to me that it's nothing to serious. The only concern I would have would be if she wasn't eating or getting plenty to drink. Google search her symptoms and you'd be suprised at some of the results you will get. If this continues, consider calling or consulting with a vet. You may be right, she could be pregnant.

13/f. i`m the one who asked about the b.c pills a few days ago and talking to my mom about it. if i`m not mistaken it works very well for you.
these might be some dumb questions, but i`ll ask anyways.
- how well do the pills work
- what do the pills cover. like what do they do for you other than preventing pregnancy
- how much is the pill?
- how long do you have to use them until they actually start to work
- you don`t have to be a certain age to use those pills right?
- and uh.. what if i go to the clinic or pharmacy by myself, will i be able to get them?

1)So far the pill has worked wonderfully for me. I haven't had any complaints yet, anyways. I'm not pregnant, nor have I ever been. So i'm going to say in general, yes.
2)Any birth control pill prevents pregnancy, but no pill that I have ever heard of prevents aids or stds. So if this could be an issue or concern with anyone you have sex with, be sure to wear a condom. I don't, but i'm positive that my boyfriend doesn't have anything. But besides pregnancy, the pill effects girls differently in good and some bad ways. For me, the pill has made my PMS lighten up. [all of my family & my boyfriend is grateful for that] and I have shorter, lighter periods. The only bad things about the pill is you can't miss more than 2 without having to use a backup method, which sucks because my boyfriend and I get caught up in the moment and don't think about protection. [which is not good, but we're only human] And the only other bad thing about the pill is it's made me gain a little weight. Not much, i've been on it for about 6 months, and i've only gained about 4 lbs. but still. It's weight. Haha. But don't let this stop you, some people lose weight when going on the pill. I just got the short end of that deal.
3)If you go to a health clinic, it's free. I'm not sure how much it is if you go to a family doctor though. And just so you know, you can't buy birth control pills [over the counter] from a pharmacy unless your family doctor sent you there for a prescription.
4)They will most likely tell you the answer to this. But when I went, they told me to use a back up method until i'm on my second set of pills. So usually you need to wait about a month.
5)No. You don't have to be a certain age.
6)If you go to a clinic, you can go by yourself. But I don't think you can go to a family doctor or get prescribed medicine from a pharmacist unless you are accompanied by an adult. I'm not sure though. If you have any doubts and go by yourself, definately go to a clinic.

so i started birth control about a month ago. i was just ending my period. i'm on allesse. so i started taking the pink pills.. and i started the green ones three days ago. i still dont have my period and there's no chance that i'm pregnant because i've never had sex. is this normal?
It's perfectly ok.
When girls start taking birth control, it messes up the girls cycle for the first month or two. It will eventually get back on schedule. Some girls periods come later, are shorter, or sometimes don't come at all. It perfectly normal.
I know a friend who plays sports, and she didn't have a period for 1 year! So trust me, you're fine.

ill just flat out say it. i cheated on my boyfriend. but here's the situation:

You have to be honest with your boyfriend. I'm sure this is probably the advice everyone is giving you, but take that as a sign and use it. A good relationship is built on trust, and if you've betrayed that trust in any way, it may be hard for you to gain it back.
You can't be sure if he will forgive you, but you don't have many other choices but to tell him. What you did was wrong, and you have to own up to it. Otherwise your consious will eat you away. I'm pretty sure that isn't spelled right, but you get what i'm saying. I'm a lousy speller.
But anyways, I can't say that he will forgive you, because all people are different. I would probably forgive my boyfriend if the circumstances were the same, but I would probably never forget, and your boyfriend probably won't either.
In general, you need to flat out apologize, explain the situation, and then try to fix it. If you love him, and he loves you, then you should be ok. If not, then you will just have to learn to forgive yourself. And in time, he will also.
